Thanks for the shout out! Yes I have that Rickey card. I didn't know that you collected Rickey cards. I will have to add a few to your pile. That was a great question but unfortunately I don't have an answer to you probably because I want all of a player cards. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely the year the stats were made for me. The card was in some kids hand when the player was having that monster year.

Based on your recent videos, I'm going dollar bin shopping the local card shop that I have yet to visit. Cool finds! Thanks for sharing

Yes, the Canseco was a deal for a buck! I would say the 1961 would be the one I go for 61 in 61. I like the 1953 adds!

Sweet find with the Canseco! Hm.. I think with the Mickey, I consider the card of the year to be the one you want, BUT I understand why the following year with the stats also makes sense. Thinking about collecting rookie cards and ROY RCs, I was the year of with minor league stas on the back vs. the following year with the rookie stats.

Great 53 topps! They make binder pages specifically for the oversized. They are 2x4 instead of 3x3 and display horizontal.

Dude! You killed that dollar box! The Canseco and Bonds were both awesome. Also, you picked up some beautiful vintage cards. All of them had great eye appeal. Lastly, I like the year, not the stats. For instance, I like to collect 1975 Reds cards because they won the WS that year even though the stats on the backs are from ‘74. Take care and have a great weekend, my friend!

Whoa, that Canseco bat card is sick! Dude a Marcus Allen for a Buck!!!!!! Interesting thought, I’m not a big back of the card guy so the stats don’t matter as much to me. Sweet Cubs

Great share Jason. I usually prefer the card of the year that it happened. Like the 1961 Maris/Mantle chase I prefer it that year. But i like any of them. Ha. Mantle cards can get up there in price. Especially the ones from the 50s. Nice 53 Topps of Atwell and Sauer. Enoyed as always and thanks for sharing with us Jason.

I would want and have the ‚61 Maris instead of the ‚62. but mostly because I feel the ‚61 image of Maris is just more iconic to me and I like that image more than the ‚62 Maris.

I prefer the year that the stat was reached as opposed to the card show the stats. That's a nice 1953 Topps Hank Sauer. Congratulations on that card and those nice dollar box finds.

Beautiful cards!! On your mantle question: I like the cards that took the ride during the season. So, for instance, I prefer the 1986 Mets set above the 1987. I had the ‘86 Topps as the Mets were cruising to a title, and that set is etched in my brain forever (87 is great too). Fun stuff dude!!

Always love a Nolan Ryan card. Relic cards are pretty cool. I remember when they first came out and how exciting it was. Canseco relic was cool. Today, I have to wonder if the player holds the bat and then they shred it up. Probably not used in a game? I prefer the following year (1962) because I want to see the stats on the back. Now you know I love those 1953 Topps cards. :o)

So many cool pickups, love that Canseco bat piece! Thanks so much for the shoutout my friend, I really appreciate it very much! I don’t have that Maris but I would be honored to accept it, I can certainly find a Cubs buyback or two to send your way in return! 😃 Huge congrats on landing your first ‘53 Topps cards! 🤩

Gave a video like. Great question. I generally prefer the year of the feat being accomplished. That said, I collect a common 56 Topps card of a feat he accomplished in '55 because it references it in a cool way in a cartoon on the back. So, I will make exceptions, I wouldn't though just strictly to see the stats though. Just personal preference on my part. I say go with the method that speaks more to you. Love those '53 Topps cards!!

Thanks for watching Brian!! I think I like both the card year AND the stats on the back year! I love seeing the stats on the back if I had to choose!

Nice that you picked up a 1953 Topps Cubs card. Even if it is a common. I prefer to get cards from the year that an event or milestone occurred. Great showcase. Thanks for sharing.

Great grabs from the dollar box. When I see a bat relic with Maddux or Glavine I think of the Chick dig the long ball commercial. Good video. I like when the stats are on the card.
