Pierpaolo IS the essence of couture for this generation. Watching the 2020/21 couture show first and then going back to this, brought actual tears to my eyes. I would argue he’s one of the ONLY designers of this age that evokes true emotion and surprise with his shows, not just IG “looks”.
Loved seeing these models of colour being used here on the Valentino runway! And so happy Miss Lauren Hutton made an appearance! What a LEGEND! And what a beautiful collection - Bravo to Pierpaolo and his amazing team!

I can't with this show there is so much to love, but the best part besides the clothes is the different ethnicities the way shows should have always been and even though I'm black I always wanted to see a smattering of all races not just black and white, BRAVO!!!

He develops his own DNA and line within the House which can be seen in his all Haute Couture collections with some wisps of Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Valentino himself. Pierpaolo Piccioli creates the wearable magic for the chosen clients, and, in my opinion, he managed to do something what not so many designers achieved to do. Especially the last ones. He created the new silhouette alongside with such geniuses as Schiaparelli, Dior, Chanel, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent and McQueen.
This is an enjoyable fashion show. The creativity was bearable and pleasant because it was contained enough so that the whole show didn't become a thrift-store vomit type of experience. It also managed to mix in mathematical and logical elements so that it was possible to ascertain elements of visual communication in the styles and to see surprising relationships that actually went together.
I don't love everything here and think some of it is borderline sloppy, but I can't remember anyone else ever using colour with this kind of authority. It should offend but it does not. This is edge done right. I'm mad because I didn't think of it myself lol.
Gorgeous. But we gotta do better about the venue being comfortable for the MODELS and BUYERS, duh!!! It's summer, we know but you GOTTA find an air conditioned location--nuff said.
