Looking at the first unified Gucci fashion show, the Women’s and Men’s Fall Winter 2017 Collection. Inspired by the Alchemist’s Garden, creative director Alessandro Michele’s lineup included ruffled gowns and suiting strewn with floral prints, T-shirts scrawled with artist Coco Capitán’s writing and accessories laden with animal hardware.

Never saw a fashion show or runway as art or even thought of it but seeing this video make me realize that they are a walking master piece. Its so abstract and intense.
This show changed my life forever.

This era will go down as groundbreaking, it is art infused with fashion. I’m sad to see where Gucci has gone after Alessandro Has left. It’s still nice, but lacks his genius touch that made it stand out and I’m not just talking logo items, I’m taking about entire looks and overall aesthetics.

I appreciate the sentiment behind your comment, but to be fair, "it" clearly "was" because otherwise we would not have clothes that look like this. These forms exist now because they are a part of our fashion lexicon. Parasols and bellbottoms aren't a new phenomenon, and if they didn't occupy some beloved part of our collective memory they would not be marching down a Gucci runway right now.
Please keep in mind the caveat that I have no idea how to personally dress myself.

I ve never been a fan of Gucci's eatstethic but must say that some single pieces are majestic..! Whole show is like a head of a person who for first time watched a book "History of a Street Style - worldwide edition". Thanks to Gucci's colours and details it has a one note in this chaos. Very impressive.
Signor Michele has brought life to the house of Gucci, by blending street fashion and retro glam. All the small details are dealt with, each model are different and unique. It takes more than one watch to absorb all that! Have u also noticed all thise gorgeous bags?! Some of which I believe must be limited edition or created just for the runway.

Alessandro would bring back Chanel like he did for gucci, every collection is a revolution its more revealing, with meaning. Karl lagerfeld repeats the designs in every collection.
But put in mind Karl Lagerfield basically brought back Chanel as it was a dying brand in the 1900s.
Karl will always be the legend of Chanel.

obviously because Chanel main focus is the rich grandmas although lately Karl tries to appeal to a younger audiences, young people should go buy from brands that focuses on young people
But that's not true chanel stands for something elegance, minimalism and the jacket are a staple to chanel. Karl molds it as per times which I think is genius I feel he works brilliantly while not distorting the brands identity

I haven't felt strongly about a runway show since I was probably in the 9th grade. 16-17 year old me was going to thrift stores and tailoring my clothes and wearing clothes that were from the runway. This runway show has inspired me and I am so looking forward to hitting up the thrift stores for these refreshed Trends from the 70s, Japanese silk, bell bottoms, Sparkles and embroidery.
( However is very symbolic LOL, they're walking around a giant pyramid and has some old Latin being chanted )
But the show though!!!! Must get Japanese umbrella and dec it out.

Brilliant collection! What's crazy to me is that the people who can afford to buy this art often only wear it one time. On a side note, Alessandro Michele, artistic genius that he is, looks like the IT guy at my office when he walks out at the end.
