Hey Kayla, I suggest putting paper towels in the bottoms of your fruit and veggie storage, so it will collect the condensation so your food won't rotten. Also if you buy veggies in a.plastic bag and once you open it do the same. Take about two paper towels and fold it down and put in the bag to collect the condensation. Everything looks great and you're so inspiring. 🤗💛

Always have a box of baking soda in the fridge!! Replace it every month with fresh and use the old baking soda in sink drains followed by white vinegar and let sit for several minutes then flush hot water down the drains. This will keep the drain pipes clean of debris that eventually clogs the sink drains.

    Hello Kayla,
You have done a super job organizing your fridge . I especially like the fact that you wash all your fruits and vegetables before. I do the same with baking soda, then dry them, and sometimes will wash the old containers and put paper towel in the bottom of the containers and repack. I also like how you put the condiments in containers.
I have cleaned and organized my fridge, several times and just finds it so rewarding to have it looking so organized. Enjoy! it is much easier to keep it organized now.

Love this. Except the strawberries may go bad quicker if you've washed them already. Strawberries should not be washed until you're ready to eat them. Any moisture left on the strawberries will make them get moldy faster. Only wash as many strawberries as you are planning to use.

But if you don’t use it as often some products needs to stay in their original containers for expiration dates purposes. Or you can put smaller stickers with the month & year on the bottles.

    Loved this video...some quick tips:
    1. You can reuse the transfer tape, just restick to the paper backing that it was attached to and it can be used again for the next label you cut.
    2. Those black marks on your fridge may be coming from the soot from the candle burning in the kitchen. Trying keeping your wicks cut or burn the candle in another room.

Yes to the baking soda, what I learned recently is that you’re supposed to swap them out every 30 days for optimal freshness (I’m 33 and didn’t know this 😂, and it says it right on the box💀).
And I’d leave the door containers clear for cleaner sight lines.

Hi Kayla. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us. It's so exciting for me to see a young black woman "doin' the doggone thang!" I've thoroughly enjoyed watching you look for a house, buy it, and take full control of turning it into your HOME! You've doing an OUTSTANDING job and you're making your elders VERY, VERY proud!🙂 Here are a couple of suggestions, and I hope they help: Get one more container to hold your meat; I know it's already packaged, but the juices could leak out and spill onto the refrigerator. Also, I clean my fruit/veggies by filling my sink with warm water and pouring in about a 1/2 cup of vinegar. I let them soak in that for 15 minutes or so; then, I hand-clean them in the water (with a dish towel) to be sure to get off any grit and grime. After that, I rinse them off and left them air dry on a towel on the counter for a few minutes and then they're ready to go. Yes, I use baking soda in the fridge. It helps to absorb odors, so open your box up.😊 Keep up the good work!

A little tip for the cricut, if you rub the container down where you want to stick vinyl with rubbing alcohol and let it dry, the vinyl sticks so much easier. Also if you want your script fonts to be together use the kerning tool in cricut design space. The refresh looks amazing and makes me want to organize my space 😁😁

You did an awesome job as always.
For organizing the fridge I try to keep meat on the bottom in a container. In case of blood leakage you don't want it contaminating other items by spilling all over them. Most used ingredients toward the front. Condiments on the door, but never milk. The opening and closing of the door can make them spoil just slightly quicker.
DIY fruit and veggie wash- clean sink full of hot water 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/4th cup of apple cider or regular vinegar. Soak for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, then pat dry.😊
