The animation was lit and we kinda knew that Frieza had this fight in the bag but we all appreciate the epic 90’s rock and roll music in the background? Brandon Yates was cooking with this, also I love he made an callback to an older song about Frieza vs Megatron called Deceptive Tyrants!
Also the fight between Gojo vs Majima finna be more toxic than Madara vs Aizen on god,
It sucks that we won’t be able to watch the next one

This was actually pretty debatable in the VS debate community, if only because the people working on the show were super vague about which version of Megatron they were using. I had a hunch Frieza would win based on the numbers shown in the analysis, though.

Well, as you can see, they did used the cartoon and Marvel/IDW comics but the big question people had was if they would use the Japanese manga in which Megatron gained access to a golden form with the power of a multiverse with infinite universes or something like that. In which case, they didn't use that since in one of the black boxes, they said the manga continuity was too different from mainline G1.

You know if this battle actually happened, we would also definitely see the Decepticons fight Frieza's army. Most importantly the Ginyu Force would fight the highest ranking Deceptions, Cyclonus, Soundwave, Starscream, Skywarp and Shockwave

I knew Freeza was gonna win, & that the antimatter wasn't gonna work, purely because it was far too circumstantial of a win condition. But the fight was lit, & I especially enjoyed the shit talk between the two antagonists.

Frieza with 0 effort survives hakai. So the antimatter would be nothing to frieza.

Anti Matter and Hakai are two different powersets. Hakai uses destruction energy to erase it's target, Anti Matter however would destroy matter the moment they interact regardless of how strong it is. That last part is especially important considering that Frieza could only survive Hakai if he could overpower it but if it's against something like Anti Matter where even his high power levels would not help him resist it, then no he won't be able to survive the Anti Matter
Fyi this matchup was a popular one before BD super back when the feats were more "equal" and "fair"

Was a great fight. Personally I will always consider megatron a better villian just for how intelligent he is and his deep character. A revolutionary who wanted to free his people and tear down a oppressive order that got lost in the war compared to a brat with power and basically just a abusive landlord and house flipper. Also i knew who would win honestly the fight was dumb as dbz chars are just oped compared to so many out there. The better villian lost and the worse villian won.
Overall fun fight to watch but dumb choice of opponents as it could only go one way.

Meh, the episode was good, and it depended on the version. IDW claps, G1 gets clapped.
@@vick7868IDW still loses, they used feats from there and the Anti-Matter which only appears on IDW, without overrating the feats like all Transformers fans do (they are not that great of feats).
Edit: The only version of Megatron that could stand a chance is the Japanese G1 version, but as Death Battle points out in the end, it is not canon to the american G1 and IDW continuities, so it doesn't count

@EliiGamer685 from what I understand, the Megatron they used here was primarily G1, since MT in the IDW comics has universal feats and is basically the avatar of a 10th dimensional being. Maybe I'm wrong tho.
@@vick7868 Megatron is not the avatar of anyone, and the only thing closer to Megatron taking on a universal level thing was Shockwave (after Shockwave acquired the power of the Ores), and it was not Megatron fighting Shockwave since both Megatron and Optimus knew they had no chance against Shockwave (after all, Optimus himself was left on the ground after a single attack from a pre-regenesis Shockwave). You could add the Deceptigod, which had the influence of the D-Void itself, but its power was not greater than what a combiner of all the existing Decepticons would realistically have (like how powerful the likes of Devastator and Bruticus are in comparison to their individual parts).
Even if you were to high-ball Megatron to universal level, he is still nothing next to Frieza, since the Transformers living universe in canon is not larger than our own (and the Dead Universe is essentialy just a second Universe in size), while Frieza is infinitely more powerful than a Goku that can easily destroy an universe 13 times larger than our own. Even if we were to, again, high-ball Transformers and say the universe is infinite, DB also has something like that, being the Null Realm (World of the Void) which is a realm of infinite nothingness outside the DB multiverse with no Space and Time, and we've seen various times someone capable of altering or affecting its nature by sheer power alone (Jiren being able to shake it by powering up and Toppo changing it with the destruction energy), and Frieza just has grown a lot stronger than those characters since then
