op 1 imo has some of my favourite visuals in any opening ever. It's so beautiful but also incredibly tragic. Love the song too so personally that's my favourite one.
Re:Zero is one of the rare isekai shows where the protagonist starts out as an absolute scumbag and you're rooting for him to grow into a better person by the end. I totally get people who are turned off by Subaru's brashness and arrogance, especially at the start. It's very much the point of the character that it masks a deep insecurity, and that Subaru has to learn to love himself as much as he cares about the people around him. The anime does it beautifully; if anything, he's even more of a scumbag in the light novels, to the point where I gave up on reading the novels altogether (around the Greed Arc) because Subaru was just too damned cringe. Looking forward to S3, though.

I would love to see some Re:Zero episode reactions, you guys are really chill. Anyway my ranking of these ops is 1/2. Redo/Paradisus Paradoxum - I love both pretty equally, I like op 1 more visually, and op 2 more musically. 3. Realize - I absolutely love the guitar in this one, the visuals are great as well. 4. Long Shot - Really good, but not a fan of the spoilers and rushed visuals. The direction in the visuals didnt match the music imo. But it's a bop musically.
@@theninjagamer1 it was Covid's fault that the studio got slammed. Same deadlines but they had to transition to at home work which really killed the production. I will say that shouldn't have excused the op being full of spoilers.
