Great review, great explanation, great watch. This piece has a beautiful combination of colors, joining past and present into one steel box. Just amazing. Your review is clear, nice voice, volume of voice, and important information is given throughout the video. Perfect!
Great review, Just picked up one of these on the 2nd hand market in Japan. As new and about 60% retail price. Those Orange hands just pop in real life - no camera can capture the actual colours. A great piece and your review helped this decision a lot! Thanks.
+gabztrz Hi. I purchased the Omega personally when I was in Japan recently. The store is www.en.komehyo.co.jp/index.html. They are one of the largest 2nd hand dealers in luxury goods including watches. The Shinjuku store I visited had over 4,000 watches on display at competitive pricing. As I understand the Japanese 2nd hand watch market represents around 30% of the global 2nd hand market. There are literally dozens of stores selling used watches. You could spend a few days there checking out all the stores and from what I observed they are all legitimate establishments with high quality pieces (savings range is around 25-40% off the retail [new] price for the respective piece). Loads of Rolex and Omega, less Panerai etc. however I'm sure your would find just about any brand. Pricing is sharp and you don't pay local taxes. Some of the retailers are hosting websites so overseas purchases can be made but many of the sites are only in Japanese...clearly they are yet to fully embrace the web as a sales channel. I couldn't fault Komehyo for service, choice and pricing. Also here is the link to an excellent article on buying in Japan: www.ablogtowatch.com/guide-buying-used-vintage-watches-tokyo-japan/. Good luck in your search!
Thanks James, your review and a 25% discount sale at my local Omega AD sealed this deal for me. A great Omega Speedmaster, which is being offered at a relatively sensible price by current standards for new Omega models.
There is a lovely red glow when you look at the watch side on and with the vertical clutch you can run the chronograph continuously. The chrono counters are not jump movements, then change on a continuous basis, but that doesn't bother me....
Great review. One minor correction: The lugs are 20mm not 22mm. I just got this watch and plan on swapping out the bracelet for a strap or NATO, so I just checked the width. Thanks for the review.
Had it on the wrist last month, it's a cool sporty classy watch but was eclipsed by the new Breitling Transocean Chronograph GMT with Air Racer bracelet I ordered. Nice review but it'd help if you stood still for longer as the constant wagging can cause epileptic seizures lol...
Very interesting Speedy. The tachymeter scale is off though, the 120 units per hour should be exactly at 6, but is slightly off. I'm quite surprised considering the price and Omega's usual attention the details. Looks a bit sloppy somehow. Other than that fantastic looking watch.
I am going to order in Australia for my end of year present, cost here is $8600 dollars includes tax,you can only buy from Omega for new because servicing and warranty are important,I tried looking on sites for preowned like Chrono 24,the prices seem to be between $6800 to $7500,so why not spend extra money and buy a new model with box and papers and a 5 year warranty, it has taken me a long time to decide between the new Tudor models,Zenith Primeiro and Chopard, but the Omega did it for me,the Super Lumi-Nova for night is perfect for working in the field at night doing exploration.
It is beautiful, the design reminds me of the Citizen 8110 for some reason. The tachymeter is quite cool but I wonder why the subdials do not feature lume. I is a crhonograph, after all. I am not sure about the bracelet, I have no doubt it is good, but the design is so tired that it looks like a Casio and I would expect a butterfly clasp. In this last point I think the option to adjust it is preferable, but still...
It's always a privilege listening to Mr. Stacey review watches. Most of the time we are forced to listen to Ariel who believes his presence and character are more important than the watch itself.
Great review james....... I watched alot reviews of yours and they are always very informative and nice to look at. Its your review that warms me up for this beautifull re-issue from omega. I am gonna buy a new watch this year and maybe this could be te one and will fit nicely between mine seiko ananta chrono springdrive and the breitling seawolf(yellow dail). Keep up the good work.......really appreciate it.
to those who want a few seconds per month, this ain't a quartz. mine goes +1.5 / day and i feel thrilled. if i want to slow it down, i leave it resting on its crown side for a night.
The 3330 does not allow for date control from the crown so the pusher in the case flank controls the advancement of the date display. Omega includes a small tool with the watch to press the button.
How about mentioning the price up front? It's so tiring waiting until the end, or waiting not to hear it at all. If the weight of the bracelet can be mentioned, certainly the price would be of interest. Otherwise it's like watching a commercial.
I always mention the price at the end of my reviews, feel free to skip to the end if that's all you're looking for. In a review we try and package all of the information that might be of interest to an enthusiast, which should extend well beyond the price of a given watch.
I have watched different tests on you tube and I noticed an interesting thing : one some watches the seconds of the chronometer JUMP from one to thte next second. On some other tests, the dial 'crawls' gradually to the next second.Which one is normal actually. On my current Omega Speedmaster chronometer, the dial also Jumps.
The crawls is normal. The jump is too, but it just means you have a cheaper movement. The jump is normal to the Speedy Pro's 1861/1863, but the 9300's vertical clutch makes it perfectly smooth
Sinn making great watches, but by the quality of material and finish, they are much behind Omega. Just because they have orange and black dial, you cant compare these 2 brands
Really beautiful watch!I liked it for the first time when I saw it, when it was released. So simple, and so gorgeous.Maybe I´d take a version without orange deatails. But both versions are just great interpretation of their iconic watch.Great review.
HELLO, I FOLLOW YOUR CHANNEL, I NEED HELP I WANT TO BOY A SPEEDMASTER, AND BEFORE I WATCH THESE VIDEO I WAS DECIDED FOR THE MOONWATCH THAT COMES WITH THE BIG BOX AND STRAPS, BUT I REALLY LOVE THIS MARKII, WICH ONE DO YOU THINK IS BETTER? I LIKE THE MOONWATCH BECAUSE OF THE HISTORY BUT THIS ONE IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL
Nice but not 6k nice. I like the older version design better with the dome crystal. The co-axial is a great feature and upgrade though. I would never buy another Omega watch with all the problems my Speedmaster watch is having.
The finishing on that case is beautiful!
Reminds me of the Autodromo Prototipo casing.

What website did you get it from? been trying to know more about the japanese luxury watch market.

Totally agree! The colors just pop in person. One of my fave watches!
Thanks for the links, pricing looks like some incredible deals to be had.
@@mauriebarnes8272 for how much?

Had the original bought in 1974, stolen.. saw this, bought it, love it. Great review!!
There is a lovely red glow when you look at the watch side on and with the vertical clutch you can run the chronograph continuously. The chrono counters are not jump movements, then change on a continuous basis, but that doesn't bother me....
The red really pops on the grey dial. Absolutely beautiful! Thanks
Great review. One minor correction: The lugs are 20mm not 22mm. I just got this watch and plan on swapping out the bracelet for a strap or NATO, so I just checked the width. Thanks for the review.
Wow - gorgeous watch. Thanks for showing it off so well. Love the color accents and the lumed tachymetre. Thanks James!

Nice review but it'd help if you stood still for longer as the constant wagging can cause epileptic seizures lol...
This video convinced me to buy mine👍🏻 Amazing watch
I've got one of the original 1969 models, still running strong!
stunning watch
That clasp with toolless adjustment looks very good. I wonder would it fit to Omega Seamaster bracelet... and where you could get only the clasp...
Just bought one 6 days ago and waiting patently for its arrival.
Does the backplate open if you push the middle button 3 times?
I have lost the pin to amend the day. Can I use the eject pin from an smartphone e.g.?
Great review! Lots of details, well paced & great footage of the features. Well done.
Definitely not a boring watch, love the red color, amazing

Please read about parallax, is not off scale
can you keep running the chrono?

Great Review; It's an amazing piece. This Omega is quickly becoming my new favorite.

Lmao
ouch,,
So true.
question. can I start a collection off with this watch? would it be a nice investment?
Absolutely stunning. I might trade in my commanders watch and get this 😍 plus orange and grey is just beautiful.
Awesome review, helpful and informative as usual

James Stacy does the best reviews for ABTW!!
Just pick one up a few days ago from Chrono24 and she's a beauty!
Beautiful! Just think I would have liked to see the little chamfer on the edges of the strap as well.. Seems so 'sharp' now.
James, you are a great reviewer.
Great googily moogily...I love it. I love the 60s style and orange accents. Omega did this just right.
Gorgeous piece, great review pal

Thanks for the reply, James. I don't think Areil does, tho...
then skip you idiot.
How about Google it urself?
It's a shame that the movement is automatic, not manual winding. I trust that you can, at least, manually wind this one?
Very good review...!!
Fantastic watches.
Didn't care for this watch until this review. Well done!
That's why they get watches to review... Great salesmen without even trying to sell lol
Glad you liked it!

What a Beautiful Timepiece damnnnn
Nice review, nice watch :)
is it accurate? how many seconds each year? if +-5seconds one month then it is rubbish.
+福貓貓 lol+-5s per month is pretty accurate for a mecanical watch
+福貓貓 : Do you know anything about watches? +- 5 seconds a DAY is fairly accurate for a mechanical watch...
Got to say I prefer this to the Mk1
Great review Mr. James :) Bracelet looks like a real hair-puller, a bit painfull, but nice looking watch overall.
Glad you liked the review! I didn't find the bracelet to a hair-puller at all. Very comfortable and easy to wear.
I have the exact same watch. Most comfortable bracelet on the market. Is NOT a hair puller.
good review, thanks!
It would be AMAZING in 18K Gold!!!!!
TheSpritz0 just been sick in my mouth.
Great, but have a look on Sinn 140 or 140A. Much more watch charging less.
Sinn making great watches, but by the quality of material and finish, they are much behind Omega. Just because they have orange and black dial, you cant compare these 2 brands
That's a really pretty watch

Dat thickness
Got it today not thick at all
Love it.
:)

I bought both, easy solution
thats a cool watch, great vid to!
Beauty!
6K $. I don't think so... Nice but pricey...
agree
its cheaper as a live wallpaper for your android device :)
check out my other comment.
very cool, but its kind of expensive
Awesome!
Wish the color accents were blue.
Nice but not 6k nice. I like the older version design better with the dome crystal. The co-axial is a great feature and upgrade though. I would never buy another Omega watch with all the problems my Speedmaster watch is having.
15mm thick... 185g... More of a Soviet tank than a Swiss precision instrument in my opinion. It looks good but the size is stupid.
Z-Collector Doesn't feel too big when you have it on your wrist.
Is it just me,or does a chonograph watch face look angry when it's 10 past 10? Very nice watch by the way.
Nice dial and bracelet but the case looks ugly
It is really nice but too thick
I'm speechless
what a beauty! =-D
But really really thick
this videos are better than porn
Awesome review, helpful and informative as usual
