Dr. Leena Gandhi is the director of the Center for Cancer Therapeutic Innovation at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She was previously the director of Thoracic Medical Oncology at NYU and the head of Immuno-Oncology Development at Eli Lilly. She was a lead investigator on a pivotal phase 1 clinical trial that showed the usefulness of using PD-L1 as a biomarker for patients receiving anti-PD-L1 checkpoint immunotherapy as well as the lead investigator of a pivotal phase 3 study showing the survival benefit of adding pembrolizumab (Keytruda®) to chemotherapy in the initial treatment of metastatic lung cancer. She continues to work on evaluations of potential biomarkers that can better extend and refine the use of immunotherapies and combination therapies to maximize benefit for the most patients.

i have stage 4 cancer adenocarcinoma , an on march 24th i went in after my chemo an immune therapy 3rd treatment i was told that my cancer had shrunk 50 percent an the tumor in my liver was gone an in my chest gone, the ones i had in my left lung the one tumor gone an the big tumor that was 2 1/2 inches big now shrunk to 50 percent, an the rest of my cancer in my bones shrunk 50 percent also, i tell every one dont wait get checked out,, i really pray that they come out with new therapy drugs . so prayers to all you cancer patients keep faith , oh yea an my psoriasis is now gone after the first treatment of my chemo it killed the psoriasis healed right up on my stomach legs an my skelp so yea i hope they find out that chemo an immunetherapy works for psoriasis also

Hi I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer adenocarcinoma non small lung cancer diagnosed June 2022.my oncologist put me on targeted therapy taking one pills a day I just started my treatment. I have drained tube in my right and fluid output is significantly decreasing and chest xray my right lung expanded so they are thinking to remove my drainage. So I think this targeted therapy is helping me.Oct 2022 is my next appt for my next CT scan of my chest,Pelvis and head hopefully everything will be okey..My friend we are going to fight with this cancer we are going to be okey..Pray

Have just finished Durvalumab with previous chemo and radiation , for lung and lymph nodes involvement and I’ll pet scan say totally resolved with medication !

I had the misfortune of contacting lung cancer and is now undergoing this treatment since three months ago. Regarding side effects...the worst I find is dry moiuth and loss of appetite. The tongue has lost its sense of taste. Without appetite it would be hard to recover. This is one area the drug makers should focus on..

Can we take keytruda medicine if the PD-L1(22C3) by immunohistochemistry shows no staining in tumor cells and only in scanty lymphocytes with TPS score of 0% and CPS score of less than 1%.

no vegan for me,, i eat beef medium rare steaks,, venison, fish,, i drink pepsi coke dr pepper, mt dew,, an eat lot of eggs, an i just got new update, on my stage 4 cancer,, just had new pet scan,
my cancer in my bones in my shoulder , rt femur an hips the cancer is now resolved, the cancer in my liver gone,, the cancer nodules that was in my chest gone, the cancer i have in my left lung the one tumor is gone the big tumor that was 2 1/2 inches that shrunk 50 percent the new result is now less then a centemeter big,, so far the immune therapy drug is working, an i leave my life in Jesus hands an i believe that if it wasnt for my belief in him that i wouldnt be where i am, so i am thankful to him an my dr for treating me with the immune therapy drug,"Pembrolizumab"

I am scheduled to have surgery for lung cancer stage one April 4th. You said even in early stages it can come back so are you saying I should get immunotherapy instead of surgery? I am confused 🤔

Madam my wife is suffering adenocarcinoma of lung 4th stage we have taken chemo targeted therapy oral immunetherapy but disease is back and now we are taking dendrite cell therapy wil it work nivolumab and rolimus tabs are included in treatment very expensive we are getting poor due to cancer

I have Malignant Pleura Mesothelioma. I had Cryoablation overseas (not in the USA) and it seems that it worked, however, have other nodules growing and I am worried because in Australia Cryoablation is not used and I do not like chemotherapy because of side effects and the collateral damage it can cause to other organs, meaning...the treatment is as bad as the disease.
So, I would like to ask you about the benefits of immunotherapy on its own, or, Photo Dynamic Therapy if you are aware of this treatment.

@@CancerResearchInstitute. I don’t believe anything. The doctor says I have stage four lung cancer. I don’t think that people live off of this I think it’s just so that they can make money. I think this is all BS. I don’t think their tumors shrunk I don’t think that they live who knows it probably speeds up the death process. I’m an honest person I know how to tell the truth and most people don’t know how to tell the truth, I think they want to just sell that drug.
