The best documentary’s
26 January is India's Republic Day not Independence Day (15 August).
“An 8.0 earthquake is the equivalent of one Billion tons of TNT”
Think about that for a second. That’s more TNT than has ever, and will ever be made.🤯
I want to associate myself with your team..plz
No earth has killed more people than the one that hit Haiti in 2010. Aroun 300 000 people killed. Others will also be killed after because there was no hospital for the injured people. Do a docunentary about that instead.
✨Free Documentary✨
One of my top 5 favourite TH-cam channels. This is the type of content The Discovery Channel needs!
what are others plz
Appreciate this documentary 🙏🏽💯
Man the earth is gorgeous, mysterious, powerful. The recordings here gave me chills. I lived though the earth quake in California, though I was in Chula Vista far away, we still felt tremors. Bless the people who perished during these disasters. 💘
Check How The Earth Was Made from the History Channel. Fascinating and scary stuff!!
I'm a geologist. I like how the explanation is simplified for everyone here. I'm in South Africa, though Earthquakes are rare in Southern Africa due to their positioning, we do get sporadic mining-induced tremors in parts of Johannesburg because the deepest mines in the world are here (gold mining).
Wow I didn’t know that 😲
@@elliab8511 yes, a special phenomenon
The same occurs in the Midwest of the USA due to oil fracking. I've survived a few big quakes here in California, but experiencing the fracking quakes in the Midwest is very interesting. The one I went thru was 5.9 and literally the grou d shook for 4 minutes at a mild pace. Trippy.
@@DJAUDIO1 I love in the Midwest as well but I haven’t experienced an earthquake but wow 4 minutes!
So mining ⛏ does cause quakes?
Very educational as always. Thank you so much Free Documentary 😊
You are very welcome. Thank you for stopping by to let us know.
“An 8.0 earthquake is the equivalent of one Billion tons of TNT”
Think about that for a second. That’s more TNT than has ever, and will ever be made.🤯
You actually wrong by a long shot
a 4.0 makes about 6 tons of tnt and a 8.0 makes about 6,270,000 because the richter is a base 10 logarithmic scale
@@ryanblue3098 I was going by what the documentary said. Those aren’t my numbers.😜
@@ryanblue3098 I would like to see that formula..your variant of about 300k is questionable ... and what are the lbs per x..?.. tons of pressure per lb.. idk...?
I'm hoping everyone reading this is well and stay amazing.
Thank you! I am and plan on remaining well and amazing 😉 you too!
I am pretty amazing! Thank you ☺️☺️☺️

January 26th is Republic Day and 15 August is Independence Day... Can't believe a channel like this didn't bother searching about this, anyways nice documentary
Watching from Philippines
Did it flood in Philippines this week?
The city I live in has had 2 big earthquakes 10 years ago and they're still fixing the city
Wow. That’s crazy. Glad you stayed safe.
Lmao Christchurch?
I love this channel.
This content is "Boss" as!!..
Watching this from Wellington New Zealand. We're overdue for a big one here 😬
Yeah that’s no fun. I grew up in Southern California. The two quakes I experienced were under 6 on the Richter Scale so nothing too serious.
I’m watching from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, we are over due a big one too, 1931 was the last big one at 7.8 on the Richter scale
@@Sightends I thought the one in Kaikoura was the big one
@@ljmcdonald2703 The last big one in Hawke’s Bay
26th January is India's Republic day &
15th August is India's Independence day..Kindly rectify it.
this really must be pre-2011 lol.the end game of this doc basically happened, just not in Chile. some 20,000 people are dead/missing in Japan from that tsunami.
This channel uploads old documentaries.
The March 11, magnitude 9.0 earthquake in Japan the most powerful on record to hit the country - shifted the planet's axis by about 17 centimeters (6.5 inches), and may have moved the main island by about 2.4 meters (8 feet). Like other similarly large earthquakes, it also changed the rotation speed of the Earth.
I’ve never experienced an earth quake luckily 🥺 sounds so scary
Also very very cool if you aren't in immediate danger. I was in the Nisqually quake 6.8 watched the street roll like waves.
Nice document - January 26 India's Republic day..
Last week in New England I felt my bed shake, heard my tv rattle and saw the water in my bottle slosh around a bit. I thought it was a big truck passing by at first and then I realized there was no engine sound.
to be honest. I enjoy watching ..esp. when there is animated clip... and it was so dangerous to watch
Never ever underestimate the common people of the world, when disaster comes it comes you to the fellow people who have been here for the longest period and are the ones who have been left behind she has been there for you it all along she has done everything in her life, you prepare for your own demise and destiny now, Welcome 2 be heavenly for your own sake and destroy your own self. Kudos!! I me myself for ever wort my lady bird 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I used to live in Alabama and we got a 5.0 once, If I remember correctly it was tied to the New Madrid region. So these quakes aren't going away.
I used to live in Albertama maybe one day there will be a Provate peice of land, that is province and state combined to one. Oh looks like a new docu about that.
23:56 January 26 is India's republic Day not independence..
India gained independence from the British in 1947, but it wasn't until 26 January 1950 that the Indian Constitution came into effect so republic Day is part of independence Day.
@@petrovenus5347 don't forget to mention the swaraajists who aimed to gain independence (purna swaraaj) on 26th January 1930
Lot's of love from india (Assam, Guwahati)🙏
wowowo VERY INFORMATIVE the vlogger is one of the useful tool to educate that media with bias political and give a such a stress news for everyone with have doubts. for audience.
imagine giving a youtuber credit for a tv show he just took and uploaded to youtube... How dumb are you people
All ways.watching
Your productions are always informative and incredibly well done, thanks for all you do. I was a bit surprised that there wasn’t more information given on the Cascadia Subduction Zone, in the Pacific Northwest of North America. May I ask if there any plans to cover that topic? Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend.

....Are you for real? this is a tv show. This guy literally just uploads other peoples work to youtube. Besides that, he doesn't do anything. Calling it "their production" is offensive to the people that actually created this. It's a show called Mega disasters.. use your brain.
Check out Nick zentner lectures on you tube.
@@sherimatukonis6016 Thank you, I will. I appreciate the suggestion.
@@KarenSmith-pc8ji there are others also. Just search cascadia subduction zone... But DONT watch the geographics... Unless you like a dramatic play on the scenerio. Weathered has a good one also. And king 5 and kiro4 have both done specials on it (both on you tube).
33:26 Is in my opinion ranks #1 in terms of intensity and destruction.
the ground shook for 11 minutes straight and triggered a tsunami that hit Hilo Hawaii and other areas across the pacific
Just got hit by a magnitude 6.0 earthquake in Victoria, Australia, and now I'm watching this.
Strange how we just got hit by a magnitude 4.6 earthquake in Victoria, Australia 30.6.23 1.32am, and now I'm watching this.
Wow
Power of earth is crazy bro
It’s crazy how much damage can occur so far from the epicentre. Mexico City for example. They were 322 kilometres from the epicentre and then damage was absolutely staggering. It’s mind boggling that the only thing we have to compare the power of these events to is either trillions of pounds of dynamite, or hundreds of thousands of nuclear/atomic bombs all exploding at once. Mother Earth can be a salty lady when she’s upset!😧
What about the 1897 earthquake in North East India. I believe that more could have been studied on earthquakes before this documentary.
We human falls, dies but we never give up, we rise and are ready to face any things comes our way ❤

Wtf?? Jan 26 isn't India's independence day..its India's republic day and aug 15 is the independence day.😕
January 26th is not India's Independence Day , Its Republic Day
I remember back when I was younger and back in elementary school, we had a very small earthquake come through. It wasn't anything too powerful, but it was enough to be felt and heard. I was fast asleep in bed when I suddenly felt the house start to shake. My brain knew what it was, but I didn't freak out since the earthquake passed quite quickly. My mom, on the other hand, the tremors were enough to wake her up but by the time she realized what that shaking was, the earthquake had passed. I still remember that like it was yesterday. I didn't know that there was a big fault line running through the midwest until recently. Now I know that what I felt was thanks to the New Madrid fault line.
23:56 26th of January is our Republic Day
I live on the New Madrid fault zone. We just don't know what we don't know about if or when it will blow, I do think about it, but there's not much we can do except keep emergency supplies on hand.
❤️
Resonance frequency was interesting theory....
What a coincidence, YT Recomended this to me,yesterday there is an earthquake in our country PH 6.7 magnitude
you should've included the costliest disaster in human history 'the 2011 japan earthquake/tsunami'

Hmm just wondering if water is the trigger weather a influxes or a outflow, just thinking of the pressures that would involve at that depth.
The tides create certain weight on the earth and eventually when you move things back and forth from weight....you are a genious.
@@Teknakill I wasn't really thinking of tides I was thinking more in the along the line of ground water, but thinking about tides it would contribute to liquefaction.
My random thought was about the subduction process taking water with it and as it travels down pressure should increases the deeper and hotter it gets hence wondering if water could be a trigger.
@@gavinmclean3174 Good stuff, its liquid force basically going horizontally and vertically causing wear and tear on the already created plates to slowly move them.

What about 2004 earthquake and tsunami?
I was in Anchorage Alaska with my family during Christmas break and I remember a Tsunami 🌊 alert issued for Alaska from the Aleutian Islands to Anchorage from the 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake. Luckily the Tsunami alert was canceled! My dad was in the Air Force and survived the Great Alaskan Earthquake of 1964. 4 years before I was born!

It’s India’s Republic Day not Independence Day sir
After watching this doc, I fear that some day the earth will simply be shattered and dropped from the galaxy, as if it never existed.
... you need to really, really educate yourself better. That's... Not even possible, like WHAT???? "Dropped from the galaxy???" This makes me so sad that you think that's even possible. Please, go learn something that's not from a TV show.
January 26 is India's republic day, August 15 th is India's independence day..😡

Data shows that the number of earthquake is increasing decade by decade
So Spain caused that massive earthquake in Mexico City?
They fail to mention aftershocks and the devastation that they also cause, I even saw recently that some aftershocks after one earthquake were stronger than the earthquake itself !!
Just started watching this. I wonder if the sept 4th 2010 7.8 earthquake in Christchurch, or the feb 22nd 2011 6.9 earthquake in Christchurch or the november 2016 earthquake in Kaikoura (up the road from christchurch) will feature. Given the massive devastation.
Or the 1936 Napier earthquake. Or the 1960's central south island of New Zealand earthquakes.
Hell New Zealand averages 15 thousand earthquakes per year. Is why it's called the shakey isles. Should be featured in this doco.
Can you do one on the April 27 2011 tornado outbreak

Haven’t watched the whole thing yet but could be only land earthquakes not underwater 🤷🏿♂️
I was also surprised they didn't mention the Haiti earthquake in 2010 which, not the most powerful, was one of the deadliest.
