This is my version of this lovely piece with my personal twist on it :)
Lyrics:
Land of bear and land of eagle
Land that gave us birth and blessing
Land that called us ever homewards
We will go home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains
Land of freedom land of heroes
Land that gave us hope and memories
Hear our singing hear our longing
We will go home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains
Land of sun and land of moonlight
Land that gave us joy and sorrow
Land that gave us love and laughter
We will go home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains
When the land is there before us
We have gone home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains - เพลง
What kills me, is that this movie was nowhere near as popular as it should be... It should have been on the same scale as Gladiator in terms of popularity... This movie was so underrated... Amazing Cast, Amazing scenery, Amazing Story, Amazing Soundtrack! Seriously can't think of another movie, except for Gladiator that has a better combination in terms of a movie based off of this time period/fantasy/or ancient history
+Fit Guyonline agreed got both movies as one of my alltime favourites in both amazingly acted out and the atmosphere and setting in both movies
and this song brings chills down my spine(and there are very few songs that does that)
+Fit Guyonline you forgot amazing actors and yes it should of been more popular it was an epic movie
+Fit Guyonline what movie???
King Arthur (2004)
+Fit Guyonline agreed!
anyone from 2004 and still hooked ?
I’m still hooked. I love this song ❤
Facts!
"When I die, do not bury me in our sad little cemetery... Build me a pyre and cast my ashes upon a strong east wind" -Lancelot
Fun fact, the chief of the gods of the Sarmatians was a fire deity
if memory server he says burn me burn me then says build me a pyre
Only mens cry 😢
@@VINCE-pp3es Lancelot : I will die in battle; that I am certain of. But I hope to die in a battle of my choosing. But if it is to be this one, do not bury me in our sad little cemetery. Burn me, and cast my ashes to a strong eastern wind.

Thank you for listening, so glad you liked it!
One of the most beautiful songs ever sung. I'd love to hear it in it's native language.
Thanks for signing it 👍
You won't read this but my mother had this song at her funeral,
So beautiful ❤️
This is the perfect soundtrack for a D&D campaign in which brave adventurers go and face an enemy not knowing if they will go return to their loved ones or die trying.
Currently 32 weeks pregnant with my first, a little boy who will be named Arthur. Hubby named him for this film not realising the actual myth and legend of King Arthur has roots in Welsh. I’ve named him for the legend and for his Irish (fathers) heritage and my Welsh heritage.
Sure you did....
that nigga gonna be named arthur !!!!!!!
When Bors wife sang this song, it was such a powerful scene...made the hair on my neck stand up. You could feel how badly they wanted to return home after being declared free men.
Polish (Sarmatians) people are always aiming to go home after heroic life in this world of misery…
Home = HEAVEN!!!

And as Adam(ic) Israelite (Isaac sons) Saac sons/Saxons, our ancestors DID cross the Caucasus mountain regions into our new HOMELANDS!
@@JERZEYPINE yep, this song talk about the israelites(whties) coming to europe

This is an ancient Scottish folk song from the inner Hebrides. & Northern Ireland. It was originally sung as a lullaby to British & Irish children through hunger , war & troublesome times before 43AD. It was part of the 'deer dance' at one time around two swords at clan festivals. My great great grandfather told my dad when he was alive. I'm half Scottish from Caithness.
+Shane72634 Also it was a Scythian Rememberence hymn sung at the death or before a battle to remind their knights that their death leads them "Home, to the Land of Heroes and Freedom".

+RoyalMarines2312 unfortunately not as the welsh survived hensed their language. The Picts and Gaels from Scotland disappeared plus there was never bears or eagles in Wales.
+Cassidan Venassi ahhh I think your mistaken...
I studied this in college. The Scythians sang a version of this.
This made me cry from such an overwhelming feeling of longing to go back to a place that I've never been but came from. I've never been to this place nor do I know where it is but it's home. I want to go home
Underrated comment
I hear you. It's just too bad that this piece was not included on the sountrack album.
Even so, Lord Jesus Christ, please come quickly. Amen!
Home is in the heart, a place where you feel safe, and secure...i hope you find your home sooner than I did...
Home is in your heart and dreams remember that good luck

I watched king Arthur for thr first time yesterday. If it wasn't for this song and this chat I would have never heard of this movie. The movie was great.
When it first came out, it got so much hate, being a roman story of the english king... it's one of clive owens best.
I change my first name and I picked Tristan because of the Mads Mikkelsen portrayal of that character. HOw do you do that... Tristan simply replies "I am for the middle"
Happy you finding this latter on. It still holds up. I have still have the blue ray i purchased from BBY all those years ago
We men can be fierce and strong, noble and honorable. The beauty and grace of our ancestors resides in our Celtic, Nordic and European women. This stoically tranquil serenade can only erupt from these pure and glorious women.
Be proud of your heritage
As we all should be, of our heritage, my friend. It's what we make it, not what enemies and haters make it.@@EPHZAM
@@tompurcell3088 I really like ancient British and Celtic culture
I love this song ever since I heard it. She has a beautiful voice. Makes me think of my mom. Everyone goes home in the end. I will see her again. Love you mom. Forever and a day.
I want that song at my funeral
The look in the eyes of the battle hardened men when she sang this song is powerful. They envisioned an end of war, and return to their home in peace
I watched King Arthur and this song moved me, but then I forgot about it. This summer someone reminded me of it, and now I have it permanently saved in my playlist. It's hauntingly beautiful.
The theme melody is all throughout the entire film. Listen to the song again, then listen to the soundtrack.
Its saved on my play list as well under "Norse German Celtic Music"

@@CelesteSeeker OK thanks.... Which country are you from?
Anyone in 2019??? Beautiful song!!!!!
Gobyd
This song, her voice, it can bring even the most calloused man to a tear. Or at least a pause and reflection. Beautiful
King Arthur is one of the greatest movies of our time. I am a critic but this movie nails it big time. I have watched it more than 10 times. My end of year movie... anytime.
Still beautiful in 2023 and always will be. This song and movie were both amazing
One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard
You are what the whole universe is doing in the place you call "Here and Now." You are doing what the entire universe is doing in the same way that a wave, is apart of and doing what the whole ocean is doing. So cheer up... You're it. You are the universe and everything in it -- You have made it across those mountains and you are alive and breathing.
This song is everything to me.. My brother's bestefriend died of cancer and this song was playing at his funeral. My brother's bestfriend loved this song and played it the last time for him at his funeral
Thank you @LEAH❤
Makes me want to get back to my Celtic roots.
One more beautiful part of one of the most beautiful soundtracks in movie history.
I love this song, it keeps me calm in seconds...
I love the voice, so delicate, like whispers of the wind in the wood or on the mountains.
true
Agreed, its amazing
calms me too
I can relate to it as a Welsh man living in exile.Ancient Britain lives in our genes and therein lives the memories, long forgotten.
South Africa. My home. I will die here.

This red earth, it's in our skin. The Shona say the colour comes from all the blood that's been spilled fighting over the land. This is home. You'll never leave Africa.-blood diamond ❤
It is a comforting song for me as a prior military and a resurrected believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Very moving for a West Virginia Scotts Irish boy.
I lived on the streets, i wos lost in my ways and the pain i carried in my soul. I wos alone. Did sing this song with many frends there. In the hopes we ever find back our home. This song brings back memories of sadness, hunger and pain but hope for finding my home again. Im dutch dont watch my englisch.
I hope you're doing fine 🙏🏻
God Save The King!
You can finally go home across the mountains, Ray Stevenson. Rest peacefully, sir. 😞
Had to watch King Arthur again, after having listened to this here. Inspiring song for anyone who has lost a loved one, because we will all be going 'over the mountain' one day, to find those who have gone before us.
How true... 💔
Questa è semplicemente meravigliosa..
Realmente!!!
In gratitude. We are One. The Law of One. Thank Q.
Pleasant, divinely beautiful song .....❤ To everyone homeland is heaven.
Interesting that it's not my heritage but I have an appreciation of music from every culture. And I actively search for Celtic music because I think it is some of the most beautiful music in the world. This particular song is so ethereal. Leah's absolutely beautiful voice transcends the atmosphere, it's almost like she's singing this music from the heavens or from somewhere way out in the universe. It's tone is comforting, chock-full of longing and presentation as if she's showing you the land she comes from while wanting so badly to go home across those mountains at the same time. I just know it invokes a certain sense of comfort in me when I hear it. It's reassuring and lets me know everything will be fine.
It should apply to All heritage We all have a need to go home
Always brings a tears to my eyes
This song reminds me of the Israelites coming across the Caucasus mountain range escaping from the Assyrians. Going into Europe and our tribes spreading all over Europe to become the Europeans. Only in reverse, going home to northern Israel where we came from.
Europe is for Europeans. It's our home. After generations of our people's kindness and altruism being exploited while being completely demonized and misrepresented by the voices in the media, we are finally waking up. This song made me cry. Thank you.
White people are the saints if the bible
no soldier ever gets to go home
I’m still listening to this song 9yrs years after you posted it here. You have the most amazing voice! I absolutely love your version of this song. It’s beautiful and haunting. I can never get tired listening to you sing this beautiful piece. ❤
My son is a month old. Nothing calms him better than this song
This was my lullaby for my daughter
One of the most underrated movies ever with this amazing song in it and LEAH really performs this song amazingly as well.

...Land that so ever calls me,
I will go home across the mountains...
Cumbria is the most beautiful place on earth. been there twice and I wish I spent a lifetime there...
Can anyone explain why my ancestors were Mexican-Indians, Spaniards, French, Italian, African, and Portuguese, but my soul feels such a deep connection with this song. I also feel Celtic music in my soul. Maybe I was Celtic in another lifetime. The song makes me think of a place of pure beauty and tranquility.
Spaniards also descend from Celts. While the Romans dominated the peninsula for centuries, they mixed with them.
@silverlegionary1636 learn something new every day. I will now read into this, as I do love history. Thank you.
i find the comment section to be beautiful for the most part .this song frees me in ways other songs cant . and yes the movie was equally as good
Reminds me of Ireland! I cried like a baby when I saw how beautiful it was, and thought of my ancestors leaving such a beautiful place to set out for America...
This is ridiculously beautiful.
why brian?
This song never fails to make me tear up....
Whilst in Afghanistan I played this. Though of my England. For the fallen who never came back
My favorite song ever.
Absolutely love this song and King Arthur. My favourite version of the king Arthur stories.❤
I loved that film, this movie is sooo underrated...
I first heard this song in a King Arthur movie, I've been hooked ever since.
Makes me think of the Line of Durin. Be still my shattering feels!
it's so perfect for them..
This is what brought me here! Kili, Fili, Thorin. Ugh I just can't!!! :(
pippinisawesome52 Yes! That's why I'm here!! This is totally our Dwarrows!
Oh my God I was thinking the same. I'm even thinking about rewriting this and putting it in a hobbit story I'm doing. Something like "we will go home beneath the mountain"
ilovexxcassyxx you could, but the dwarves did travel across the misty mountains to get to erebor :-)
Land of freedom land of heroes..
Song makes me home sick for a place I've never been to before.
Two words, as I weep. Thank You
this song make me to cry ) :
Celtic music never fails to touch my soul and make me feel connected to my Celtic ancestors Even though i was born here in the USA but this this this moves my soul to the point tears flow.and it makes me feel like i was born in the wrong land and in the wrong time
I truly know the feeling - born in the USA - but this music forever calls out to my ancestral Irish spirit
Its a Celtic song you idiot. Lol.
You'd love Celtic woman then
Watch Mists of Avalon, you'll feel it in your heart as well.
That is exactly how I feel. Considering I’m mostly Scottish and trace myself back Celtic times and even have a an actual aunt in Scotland who speaks Gaelic and even taught me my clans true last name
I just listened to this song while holding my three-year-old son during our bedtime routine. We will win brothers.
Anglo pride worldwide 🇦🇺🇬🇧
A song of yearning for something or somewhere which might not exist anymore... Home is in our hearts and none can ever take that from us!!!
I thought the movie was really good. I wish more people would watch it. It is one of the best soundtracks that I listen to.
Keep singing this song, must be I'm missing people's who aren't with us anymore..
I never cared for the movie, but loved this song.
Relaxing and beautiful.
When i get back from the hilly south middle germany to the north, to my plain fields, where the rivers gently flow and the eyes can reach as far as they want to
makes me miss my homeland of South Africa. Beautiful song!
I can suggest watching "The Mists of Avalon" movie . Having lived in Cornwall in a small place called Trewassa, Camelford, for nearly a year and a half over 25 years ago, Cornwall is a magical place if I could I would love to live there again. Talking of The Mists of Avalon movie, I remember the mists that came over the hills within a few moments, truly magical looking back. There is something haunting about Cornwall I still feel very part of it.
This song speaks volumes for me. As to whether it is the call of my own mountainous home or what, I don't know, but it has a power unbeknownst to me.
I miss my country so much when I hear this beautiful song.
I cannot wait until I go home across the mountains, but today is not that day.
What a movie that would be, the trail of tears. A combination of stories. Fact and a wee bit of fiction.
I love the Celtic culture and music though I have no relation to them. And this song is so beautiful. I remembered it a few days ago and was humming it. :)))
If you have almost any European blood the odds are high that there's at least one type of Celt mixed in.
T Hitsugaya Indeed. The Celts didn't just hail from the Isles. The Gaelic Clans, the Germanic tribes, and the Sarmatians are just a part of what was considered Celtic. The Ancient Greeks had the term Keltoi, it essentially meant someone who lived to the North. This broadly meant that most of what is now Europe was considered Celtic territory. Above the Celts were the Hyperboreans, or the Norse.
+Tatiana Kostik, really hard to know without the DNA tests. My ancestry which I have documented via genealogy is all Germanic names with some family stories of Irish blood but nothing to back them. Well DNA test was very surprising in that it showed >15% Irish for me and also showed Italian, Swede, Norwegian and Finn ancestry (which there were no family stories about).
Celts have some of the most beautiful natural tunes, brah.
Tatiana Kostik. Everyone has a connection to celtic culture.... For gaelic culture was one that is older then you may think
Ohne Worte . Heimat .
I can't leave this alone I must have viewed this 100 times I love it and I cry every time I hear it ✌🏻peace n love everyone
Still see the movie now, it will always be one of my favorite movies 🎬
I’m an African American United States Marine. And the freedom that I seek isn’t gold, lands, or even safe conduct throughout my Republic. What I seek is true equality in the eyes of my countrymen. I ask them to look within themselves and do the real work within to give us the freedom that we truly need and deserve. That’s home for me....
As Adam(ic) Israelite (Isaac sons) Saac sons/Saxons, our ancestors DID cross the Caucasus mountain regions into our new HOMELANDS!

The passage of Israel is the route we took through the caucuses mountains. Per biblical prophecy we will go home, possibly right back down through the pass of Israel. All this to say, this song rings more ancient melodies than most realize.
This song calms my soul!
beautiful song
To Leah. You are a lovely and very attractive woman. Your voice is like a melodic dream of old. God has blessed you with a wonderful talent. I pray you use it to Glorify his mercy and grace. God bless.
through time and place.. our harts WILL bring us HOME!
I loved this song in the movie, thank you for doing this
Just adorable !
Love this for years......
This scene was very emotional, as we Hmong warrior that lived in the high mountains also gave our services to superior power U.S.A during the Vietnam war under the Secrete war in Laos. When the U.S. pull out we were Exiled and been living in hiding in the U.S. for over 40yrs.
Waiting to go home across the Mountains.
I wish I had heard this while I was recovering. Beautiful voice!
i felt most at home in Alaska, but i can't go back now, so i listen to this and drink
Why can't you?
i haven't heard this song in a very, very long time. my grandmother used to sing it. she has gone home, long ago. someday, i will go home too. i will hang up my dog tags, beat my sword into a plowshare, no longer to be the sheepdog. i do not want anyone to weep for me when that time comes, for i have been the peacemaker, and i know that my place is and will be at the left-hand of the all mighty. i am at peace, and i am finally...at home.
Mom sang this to me & my brother as kids. Gramma & Poppa sang it to her as a baby. Gramma was from Galway, Pop was from Edinburgh, moved to the States after the war. Its beautiful. God bless yas
