    Incredible job! You make it look so easy - I just know that when I try to pull something like this off - it'll look like $hit...... I have an ideal project for this in my backyard. My backyard is terraced by two fugly concrete walls into three separate levels running almost the entire length of my backyard. You have inspired me to give it a go using your products!

    SMALL SPRAYERS ARE NORMAL? ONLY DO YOU HAVE TO COLLECT THE PAINT? THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION. NICE JOB SR.

    • @stoneedgesurfaces3959
      @stoneedgesurfaces3959  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes...small sprayers are what we use on small jobs...the larger sqft jobs we use a little larger hand held pump sprayer. Even larger jobs require larger sprayers. So...depending on the job size determines the type of sprayer you use.Our colors we are using are actually natural pigments in water mixed with our Pro Seal. The natural pigments give a more realistic stone look, and the pro seal acts as the reactive agent to pull the pigments into the concrete for a long lasting color.

    Got a question about stamped concrete...
    Re - the molded stone texture mats for floor type. :
    One of your vids showed how to do the job with a skim coat on top of a hard surface. I love the textured look of that. Can it be done on a fresh poured slab (4-6" thick)? If so, how do I judge when the right time after the pour to get on it? Maybe a poke/prod depth hardness Check?
    Thanks.
    p.s. - great vids!!

    • @gregghensley2334
      @gregghensley2334 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Grumpy, As soon as the surface can withstand you walking on without blemishing then you may begin the process of applying the skim coat and texture to your desired look. Thanks again and please let me know how I may continue to help in any way.

      seal means seal. you would have to etch the seal off to get the stone porous.

    • @AlfonsoLopezRamosArqozs
      @AlfonsoLopezRamosArqozs 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for answering. Do you have any techniques for applying oxide pigments in rubber molds before casting concrete? by the way, you're a very good teacher!
      thanks for your videos and more thanks for sharing your knowledge.

    • @stoneedgesurfaces3959
      @stoneedgesurfaces3959  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We do have a colored release agent that is "broadcast" out over standard concrete and used to both color and release the molds. If that is what you are asking, then yes we have that. As far as our polymer enhanced Wall, Stamp, Trowel and Spray mix...we use the liquid release agent on the surface of the stamp and on the surface of the concrete to release the stamp. But...it is clear and we do not color it.

    When you say we can use any acrylic color, are you referring to stain, paint or liquid color pigment? And by liquid color pigment I mean for example iron oxide mixed with water.

    • @stoneedgesurfaces3959
      @stoneedgesurfaces3959  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All of the above you mentioned are correct. You can use any water based acrylic coloring system upon any of the Stone Edge Surfaces Products.

    • @Yannis2022
      @Yannis2022 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, thanks! What maximum ratio of iron oxide powder can I use in the Stone Edge Surface Sealer to avoid pigments separating to not have pigment deposit at the surface level and delaminate the sealer?

    • @stoneedgesurfaces3959
      @stoneedgesurfaces3959  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use our products and not have to worry about pigments separating or delaminating. Or...you can use water based acrylics or other similar products as stated before. I will not go into proprietary percentages of ingredients.

      If that is your question...then yes...most stone is porous and will accept stain.

    • @stoneedgesurfaces3959

      Ok...If you just want to color stone, yes our pigments are natural pigments that will just color the surface...unless...you mix them with a rheological agent, like our Pro Seal, that help draw the color into the stone a few mils.

    • @Engineeringtube
      @Engineeringtube 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i know that the sealer products added after coloration to prevent discoloration, can you kindly give me a ling for your product proseal?

    • @stoneedgesurfaces3959
      @stoneedgesurfaces3959  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can add sealer after coloration as well,, but our pigments are designed to mix with the water based "Pro Seal" so it is drawn into the cement or stone at the time of coloring.
      If you will provide me with your email address I can email you a catalog
