Love my Adapts Brutale 2021 but wish the toe and the edges of the side panels were a bit tougher. Also the top of the cuff gets ripped. Still my favourite skates though.
Thanks man! So I always intend to use the aluminium whenever I skate coping or angle iron ledges. I often skate concrete too though so I end up forgetting to switch it up! Love the metal ones though you've reminded me to use em more!
@@chrischadwick1 It's definitely gonna happen, it's just a matter of time. I have to operate a one in one out policy with skates now, cuz I can get a bit carried away haha
You've switched up the format a little, right? At least at the very start. It's really nice, I enjoyed it a lot more actually. Feels casual. Every time I see Adapt's I want them but the amount of grinderblading I do definitely doesn't warrant it hah
Yeah more of a vlog style format. Trying to try new things and keep it fresh! Happy you enjoyed it man. I skates them on my big wheel frames today. They worked real nice flat 80mm too!
Yeah it's the super thick frame walls. They make lock on more difficult. I figured this out after I skated the solas which have super thin walls and are a much easier topside lock. Don't know why oysi are so thick. I assume to add rigidity and make them last longer. Fo you like the oysi otherwise?
@@chrischadwick1 For flat the Oysi medium was one of the best frames I had tried at the time but the performance compromise I was experiencing bugged me. Besides having trouble with topside tricks I also found carving to be an issue and I had to watch out not to slide out on the plastic. It got better over time as they trimmed down from repeatedly being scraped, but I never really ended up trusting them for that purpose. I currently skate the Symetrics v5 flat and they are my favorite plastic frames for flat. No trouble carving bowls and I can lock topsides much easier than Oysi Med. The only time I exp wheel bite is when I completely mess up the trick. I also discovered that I prefer the smaller groove over the larger Oysi Med groove. Symetrics are the first plastic frame I have skated flat where I am 100% comfortable and confident in grinds without experiencing any sacrifice or compromise in general performance. I heard that the Kizer Fluid 5 is close to the same feel but I have not tried them yet. For the record I measured the frame wall thickness of the Symetrics and Oysi Med to compare. According to my measurements the Oysi Med frame wall (8.9mm) is 0.45mm thicker than the Symetrics frame wall (8.45mm). The overall frame thickness measured at the H-block differs by 1mm (Symetrics: 4.6cm. Oysi Med: 4.5cm). Technically the differences should not make that big a difference yet I struggle to get topside on Oysi frames and more than often miss the trick. Maybe it is more to do with the shape? IDK. Solas are my favorit alu frame. I skated both the street version and the Atkinson. I prefer the Atkinson. IDKW but I feel it slides better and performs better overall compared to the street frame. I do get some wheel bite with completely fresh 64-60-60-64 wheels but after they wear down a bit it is not a problem. I use the aluminum H-block and have them set up with the CJ Prime boot and Symetrics soul plate. Pure magic.
@@blaze_your_own_trail that's awesome man. Thanks for all your insights and specs that's really interesting to know. Adapt have floated the idea of sending me the symetrics v6 when they drop so I'll be super stoked to try those. With all this product insight it sounds like you should start your own YT channel man 😁
@@chrischadwick1 Haha, maybe one day. I actually emailed Pieter and Olga yesterday to find out if they had plans to release a v6 in the near future. Now I'm super excited for them to drop! Any idea what changes/improvements they have made?
@@blaze_your_own_trail I'm not sure as yet, they just said they were in the process of testing them. I'll be stoked to give them a go. Everything Arapt do is dope 🔥
Yep even the standard Adapt skates are way wider than the Roces (I had my adapts made wider than standard). M12s are one of the narrowest skates on the market 👍
@@paulysci925 send them an email and they'll get you sorted man. They can make them for any width, I think they just add extra material to the last that they use to shape the shells
That's my bloody candle!
Nice, I’ve been on them for a few months now and I absolutely love them.
Thanks man, yeah there such sick skates. Any skin problems on your skates?
@@chrischadwick1 nope! Mine are holding up well.
Great video for anyone looking to get these skates!
Thanks man! 😁

Yeah totally agree man. I'm going to buy a second pair at some point, hopefully they have fixed the stitching issues 👍
Nice video’s!! Good channel! When do you use the plastic H block and when the Alu one?

Great video, everytime I see some Adapts I'm tempted. Maybe next year I'm thinking, although have you seen the Julian Bah pro model it looks so good!
Yeah the JB's look so sick. You've got to custom though surely!? 😁Do it man. There expensive but I really think there worth the money.

They sure are. A joy to ride@
I am also finding the Oysi medium hard to topside. Any idea as to why this is?

I love these skates but damn almost $900 where I am from, I could buy two pairs of say 909's for that price.
They definitely are pricey for sure. Although at the rate Aeon pricing is going its starting to look like a better deal!
