When my younger sis passed away in september 2017 because of cancer I HATED , truly HATED when I was told the pain will pass with time , whilst my love for my sister would remain strong. I truly despised being told that as I felt it was somehow giving up to the stark truth. I even went jogging on the beech very early in the morning just to observe the sunrise punching at the sky as if I was punching at God. I just felt pure rage and the need to not let go to my sister. Having said that and while my tears are rolling down my cheaks I understand the sense of this song. Now after three years have passed. And I feel as if I have capitulated and raised a white flag.
