- This is a May tour of what's growing in the courtyard of my Maryland small space. Just because you don't have a lot of room doesn't mean you can't make the space your own. Zone 7B. Maryland.

It's watching and rewatching garden tours like yours that get me through the winter. 🌺
Thank you, that's so kind of you. I will definitely keep sharing.
I love your tidy and charming garden! You have added so much variety in this space and it's done tastefully. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the lovely compliments!
This. is wondrous!! Small spaces can be so so fun. I had a townhouse once and loved mine too. Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you for watching!
Glad to meet another Niesy in Maryland. Love the garden
Hi Neighbor! I'm always happy to meet another Niesy too. I'm so glad you like my garden!
Beautiful choices. For the space, it is packed nicely. Spring is my favorite season as well. And Amen on only God.. Enjoy 🌿
Thank you so much. I am so thankful to be able to witness His works.
Your garden is small but absolutely gorgeous 🎉💐💐💐
Thank you so much!
Even though you're space is limited, you've done a fantastic job with your garden. I know it gives you so much pleasure to sit in it and admire all the beauty and creativity. Btw, I staked up my neighbor's peony blooms with bamboo stakes (then cut the stakes to height) and plant tape...they look great.
It's been raining every day here again, but tomorrow is supposed to be dry. I have plenty of bamboo stakes, so I'm going to try it. Thanks for the recommendation!!
Your peonies are beautiful! My peonies fell over too with all the rain. I didn’t get a chance to enjoy them in a vase, but I was able to cut and share some of them with my sister and a friend 😊 I want to plant more. They are so pretty!
Aren't they just gorgeous?!? Lilies have always been my favorite, but if I had more space, I would definitely plant more peonies. Check out the Marie Lemoine peony. 😍
Greetings from Ireland, Beautiful garden, Its the bees knees.
Thank you! I've had the opportunity to visit Ireland. Beautiful country ❤️
@@niesydunn Glad you enjoyed It.

Your courtyard looks beautiful. You have packed quite a bit in a small area and it looks spectacular! It truly looks like a peaceful spot to relax in.

Such a nice neat garden. Very nice. Lots of color and texture.
Thank you!
Such a beautiful peaceful space. Thank you for sharing
Thank you!
I was surprised at how densely you plant, but it looks beautiful. I like your plant selection.
Thank you!! I'm hoping to one day not mulch!! I'll be in a plant cocoon. 😍
Your garden is lovely! Such good use of a small space. I'm a fairly new gardener, zone 7b in East Tennessee, and I have many of the same plants. My Karl Lagerfeld peony is new this year and about 8 inches high but I have high hopes for her eventually. It's clear to see the love you put into your garden. Thank you for sharing it! ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words!! My peony didn't bloom until the third year I had it, so remember to be patient with it. It's going to be beautiful!
We do have plants that grow in winter. Try a little green house.
Love how you totally maximized the space that you are in!!! And the wild rose hookah something caught my eye! 😎
Thank you!! 😊 It's called Wild Rose Huechera. Huecheras come in lots of different colors. You may find it at the box stores or your local nursery.
@niesydunn220 Thank you for the correct spelling! Now I won't look crazy at the nursery! 🤣 And thank you for knowing/ sharing the names of all your plants/ flowers.
Beautiful garden I love all the colors

Thank you! I love your fairy gardens.
I really like what you said about squirrels😂 digging up the happiness that you plant👍👍
It's true!! Those rascals have dug up and eaten so many bulbs. I get that that they're God's creatures too, but sheesh!
First time watching your channel. My mom moved to Maryland and it’s a beautiful state. You did a fantastic job with your garden. I’m impressed with the variety of plants in your garden. On another video, can you speak about your dwaft crêpe myrtle. Beautiful garden!!
Hello and thank you for the compliments!! I will definitely address your request regarding the dwarf crepe myrtle in the next video.
That's my nickname! Short for Denise.
Same! Hey friend, hey. 👋🏾
Very nice!!
Thank you!!
We are in MD in the same growing zone. We also are in a townhome so this gives me great ideas!
Hi Neighbor!! Thank you, that's so encouraging. I hope you'll share the outcome. We can do amazing things in our small spaces.
Subscribed!!! Keep up the amazing work, D!
Thank you, Dr. Boyd!
your courtyard is perfect, loving it from san antonio tx.❤🎉
Thank you fellow Texan!
Hi Niesy! New subscriber here … I’m in Maryland zone 7B too. Gorgeous garden with a nice variety of plants and shrubs 😊
Hi Neighbor!! Thank you for supporting and subscribing. I look forward to watching your journey as well.
You have a beautiful garden! Watching from Louisiana
Thank you!! I went to school in New Orleans!
@@niesydunn Really? I'm from Southern Illinois. My daughter moved down here about 20 years ago. I finally moved down about 6 years ago. Love the winters, summers not so much. Lol In the Baton Rouge area.
Yes, ma'am! I have so many friends still there. I have family from upstate too, Monroe, LA. I feel you on the Summers. That humidity is a bear!
Beautiful garden. New subscriber
Thank you!
Your garden is amazing!!! I agree on the pull back on annuals they get so pricey! This is my last year planting them. Because if I can’t get a seed from it or a perennial ion want it.
Yes!! My thought EXACTLY. My perennials have matured to the point that they're enough. Even though I still keep buying plants. Lol 🤦🏾♀️
Yes Texas 🌟
Texas ALWAYS!! ❤
Beautiful 😍i love barbery but don't know how to pair them. I have
They were the second thing I purchased! I just love the beautiful leaves.
Hello! I use a tomato cage to hold my peonies together.
This is so helpful!! Thank you! I'll be ready next season.
@niesydunn you're welcome, and as gardeners, I believe we should try to share our ideas. I just found your channel today, and I like, so I'll be back! One last thing for your carrots to grow a good size, they should be thinned out. You can Google it to be sure.
TY... from D/FW (sub'd)
Thank you!
Very nice use of space. Where did you get yourrfountain?
Thank you! I got it from Patuxent Nursery in Maryland. It wasn't even expensive!!
You have a beautiful garden! How big will the Siberian blue spruce get? I want a blue evergreen so bad but can't find any that stay small. I love barberry, sadly they are illegal to purchase in Massachusetts where I live. Thank you for the tour.
Thank you so much!! The spruce shouldn't get wider than 4 feet or taller than 15 feet. A happy plant doesn't follow rules, though. My yard doesn't have enough space for it to get wild.
@@niesydunn thank you so much!
Heyllo such a beautiful garden.I don't know what to do But I was wondering can you stake them up once the water runs out of them.I would hate to pull them They are gorgeous
Thanks for the great idea!! I have some stakes, so I'm going to try it. We're supposed to have 2 days of sunny weather. Even if they stay laying down, I'm absolutely NOT pulling them.
I live in a condo in Southern California and always looking for great ideas for a small area. You've got a beautiful little yard.
Thank you so much!
