Now that we are officially safe from frost we are thrilled to share with you the incredible progress our garden has made in just a few weeks. So many plants have burst from their winter slumber and have grown a ton!
We have been able to plant some tender annuals from seed in the ground as well as edibles in our raised beds. Join us as we take a walk around to point out some of the most exciting changes!

Nothing really dies back , and it seems you pruning , cleaning, and planting year-round. I think when you live in a colder region, you probably have a bit more appreciation for your garden. SPECIAL REQUEST: I watched yesterday's irrigation video last night and was stunned. It is the answer to many of my vegetable gardening problems. However, I am intimidated by the whole irrigation situation. Is there any chance you can offer a tutorial on irrigation of your raised beds from start to finish? There is something on your house wall, and something about 3 things such as a filter and then you had add on's after the video was published. Assume we know nothing. Hiring specialists is so pricey and they know less than you guys. Your stuff ends up so spectacular. Thank you..

I'm soooo jealous! Everything looks so gorgeous! And yes, we used to call the maple seeds (samaras) 'nosies' and stick them on our noses!

Pansies make a great underplanting for roses, and they'll sometimes self-seed and come back in the spring for me (also 5b). After I remove them from the pots I stick them under some of my rose hedges. They look cute peeking out when I check on my roses and seem happy.

Interestingly, we live so close that our zones are off by 0.5 degrees. We have similar plants, but they are at different stages. My storm clouds have not bloomed yet in full sun, and my street is zone 6A. As Jenny from Gardening with the Creekside said, you must be a student of your own garden. I love the aerial view of your garden. It must be nice to have coffee in the morning, looking at all your hard work.
Definitely a student of our space. We had such a mild winter...we are about 20 days ahead of schedule

I planted wine craft gold smoke bush as a backdrop to my pond thinking it would get 4 - 6 feet and be more bush like. Now I see it's going to be a tree so I may need to rethink that. Tags quite often cannot be trusted. Everything looks beautiful.

We also have a Yard Defender on night mode. Unfortunately, we forgot about it and our neighbors triggered it leaving our house after dinner. It made for a good laugh after scaring the heck out of them. They took a direct hit.
It is a really hysterical tool. I think it's working!

Everything is so lush and green. I garden myself at a slower pace due to my painful autoimmune disorder. It's so relaxing and rewarding to see my plants grow, feeling proud of myself. Lol.😊
One quick question Eric & Christopher, in the future, will you put a fence at the very back in closing it and connecting to the side fences to keep the deer and other wildlife out of your backyard??? And does your property go back further? Just curious. Hope you don't mind me asking, lol.😊
