We appreciate this lovely choir and all it has done for spreading peace and beauty to the world. Of course all glory to god, but God cannot use us as instruments unless we let him, so kudos to each of you. One day we can all sing together when Christ comes again.
We sang this for our closing song in sacrament meeting yesterday in honor of a woman in our ward who passed away tragically. I love the phrase “I sing because I’m happy. I sing because I’m free.” It was the perfect way to describe her. She had the most beautiful voice and was always singing. She was always caring, always giving, and always looking out for others. She was a friend to everyone she met wherever she went and we’ll all miss her deeply. Love you always, Kerilyn.
Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come, Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home, When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He: His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. Refrain: I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free, For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. “Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear, And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears; Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise, When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies, I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me; His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

I believe this songs teachings with my whole heart.
One of my very favorites. Beautiful.
Thanks for listening
I love that song. I'm so glad they are taking these beautiful old Gospel songs and put them in the new book. It should have been done many years ago.
He will heal us from it all…we just need to allow it!!
AMEN
Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:

His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Thank you.
Yes, thank you.
And old Hymn, but new to me. The old gospel hymns are treasures. Each time I hear evangelical choirs sing, I learn about another one.
Thanks I see it now
When I heard the choir sing this hymn at general conference I hoped that it might be a hint that this moving hymn might be added to the new hymn book.
How such perfection is billowed out for the world to hear such monumental praises to our God is astoundingly performed. 🇬🇧
One of the newest additions to the LDS hymn book and I can hear why!
Because this is one of our new hymns we sang it today in our sacrament meeting. I think I have a new favorite Hymn. The words touched my heart.
I wish to thank you for sharing this awesome Christian Hymn video with me . Amen
Lovely rendition and we need to remember the words when stressful times appear...so grateful.
¡Que bello himno!, titulado en español: "¿cómo podré estar triste?"
So comforting
We will sing this song in the sacrement meeting today . So lovely to hear the words and melody. 🐦👁👁❤
Goosebumps INSIDE OUT❤
Our stake choir sang this two days ago in our stake conference. It was touching.
Love you heavenly Father , praise and glory be thine forever. In the name of Jesus Christ . Amen .
