    I love the long to short/short to long layering tip! So many times I can't figure out why something doesn't look quite right, this might be it! :O

    This video was so cute and clever! Your dress hacks are actually really awesome for kids in private, or more conservative schools. In high school I had a hard time dressing cute while staying in the dress code, so this video would've been right up my alley.

      How does the hair conditioner not leave your sweater with one big grease stain?

    For those a bit confused, I think this video is indoor winter clothing, when buildings are cooler. Not the outdoor coats, hats, scarf deal:)

    • @seltzermint5
      @seltzermint5 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. And for people who don't use public transit or do a lot of walking as transportation. I admit it surprised me that she lives in the North because here in the Mid-South, this is appropriate for winters where a typical day is 50 F and you're just in heated cars and buildings.

    • @thedarksidealwayswin
      @thedarksidealwayswin 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      They look way too cold for indoors during winter though.. having your underarms exposed? a short summerdress as skirt with just tights underneath? I'd freeze

    1) double sided tape is cheaper than fashion tape, you get so much more for your money
    2) itchy sweater, let it soak in cold water with fabric softener, downy or gain is my go to
    Absolutely loved this video!

    Your ideas are nice.
    I'm into comfort and warmth when it's cold. The pretty blue lacey spaghetti strap dress 👗 is beautiful but needed some leggings with it unless you're planning to be inside the house with the heat on high. I live in the South, and when it's cold here, I feel chilled to the bone. I dress in layers I can remove if it heats up later in the day. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

      mrijexxx If the garment is mashine washable, a hefty dose of fabric softener often does the trick....it's basicly conditioner for clothes. Also prevents (or at least lessens) static electricity.

  • @fashiondiva6972
    @fashiondiva6972 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    It’s more effective to add a small button (hidden under/within the shirt placket) instead of relying on fashion tape. Depending on the tightness of the shirt across the chest and more significantly, the size of your chest, the tape only holds for a short time and is fairly worthless the more you attempt to re-secure it throughout the day. If you can’t sew or don’t want to pay a tailor to do it for you, you can use a small piece of iron on Velcro to do the job.

    • @seltzermint5
      @seltzermint5 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My thoughts also. I suppose sewing isn't the best idea if you still want to wear the button down "open" at other times, but I have done this a lot and I'm far from skilled...just a quick needle and thread will fix that issue easily and no worries about the tape coming open.

    Good tips! I'll add one of mine: cut out the armpit area of old t-shirts and use them (with doublesided tape) to temporarily 'line' the same area in garments that tend to get 'stinky' or stained in the armpit area. Perfect fit and the jersey fabric doesn't ravel. It's more comfortable and economical than buying the throw away liner thingies and there's no need for aggressive deodorant then.

    The sticky tape is genius!

    • @eizhowa
      @eizhowa 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Say it takes 1 minute to find the tape, apply the tape and throw the other bits out per time. Everytime you wash the shirt, you need to re-do it.
      It takes 10 minutes to sew it up between two buttons. You don't need to wash it many times before you are saving times. Not to mention, threads are more hard-wearing...

    • @eizhowa
      @eizhowa 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Guiliana Barbagallo Fair point. I have never worn shirts open (it is not really a thing where I live), so I did not think of that. I do however regularly sew up the shirts I wear for work :) The gap is not very professional...

    omg you just saved a girls life with the overknee sock hack!! I'm 6''1 so the boots I buy never reach anywhere near my knees lol. Thank you!!!

    Over the knee trick is just not good. Everyone will see those are your socks sticking out of the boots that you've put over your jeans for some reason. Looks weird, not cute. Layering tip is actually very smart though 👌🏻

I’m from Louisiana but I moved to Montana over a year ago and still barely have winter clothes 🤦🏻‍♀️ I get so cold though it looks like I’m preparing for a blizzard haha.
