Why is The Times spreading this kind of hate message? Mr Musk is free to air his thoughts, end of story. Just because the government don't like or want to hear this kind of conclusion, we should not be coerced into our own silence, or silencing people with an opinion. 'Far right' is a completely unqualified accusation that also falls under 'hateful rhetoric'. Starmer is not questioned on his way of sweeping issues under the carpet. People speaking about responsibilities of media platforms dismiss the neglected responsibilities, citizens, that governments seem to be betraying with contempt.

The Times isn't my ideal source, but it sometimes is decent and humane.
Either you support the violence or you don't.
I don't think occupied buildings should be set on fire; or that cars should be hijacked and the occupants beaten up. I don't think stores should be looted (what's the political message there?) or set on fire. I don't think people should throw bricks - particularly since they could end up killing someone.

you bots have a hard time understanding the first Amendment. It says: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
It is important to note there who. Congress. Freedom of speech is not absolute. You can't yell fire in a crowded theater. Can yell bomb in an airport. Can't spread misinformation online. Don't see what its so hard about this. Misinformation is not speech first of all. If you are just for spreading lies... say it so. But don't pretend you are protecting anyone's rights.

The best way to defang the right wing is this: have a referendum on immigration & asylum policy, and work to achieve the results of that referendum, whatever it is. If the result is pro-immigration/pro-asylum, then the right wing is not the majority. If the vote is anti-immigration/anti-asylum, then that's the majority and everyone else has to deal with that. It just seems like the best strategy is to officially gauge the temperature of the country with an actual, official vote of the people, and then work from there.
