I tried one time under the bridge, but without succes. There are a couple of nice places to catch some fish. One of the places I like is Ko Lek (which is a small island right next to the fishing village in the south/east of koh Lanta). You can walk to the island at low tide. Another place that is very good is at the very top of Long Beach at this GPS location 7,6224446, 99,0278881 . There is a small "secret" track to go to this tiny Rocky beach or you can walk over the rocks to reach here. If you want to catch some squid, go here 7,6418144, 99,0208168 . Often very good for squid fishing just before sunset. I also had some good luck fishing at this location 7,6515157, 99,0179491 Just make sure you find some good rocks far away from the tourists 😉
I'm on koh lanta too,and I got these fish too..under the rock on tide rising time,so many fishes there.
Yea its a great place to catch some of these small groupers, but hard to catch big once though ;)

How do you find good places for that kind of fishing? Or is it just some rocks
Yea basically just look for some rocks, hiding spots and dropoffs. High chance there are some reef fish (such as these groupers) around. 👍
