안녕하세요 😉. I went to "Izena Island" 🏝️. It is a very beautiful place and I have a lot of videos to upload from this trip. I brought my tent ⛺ and did almost 3 weeks camping. I did not stay in a hotel on Izena Island. It is a very local quiet island, so there are no big hotels. Only small simple hotels and home stays are available.

@chizzyfishing great thanks How did you manage carrying your hard and soft lurs in flight. And was it a telescopic rod and two piece road. And also what lurs would you recommend.. Sorry too many questions.

@oazkhan9803 No problem, I can always try to answer your questions 😉. But on the Maldives trip I brought a suitcase so I just checked in my lures and rods (telescope rod or travel rod). These days I always use a 5 piece travel rod. However, I have done some trips in other countries with carry-on luggage only. In that case I remove all the hooks from the crankbaits/hard lures and pack them tightly in a small package so it cannot poke anything or anyone that checks the bag. So far I didn't have any problems, but I only did this with small hooks and I am not sure if this works in all countries though. About the lures. Lately I've been using the "SSO BAIT 45S" a lot. Swims great, cast far enough, decently priced and catches tons of fish 😉🎣. If this lure is not available where you are located, try to find some lures that are similar to the SSO BAIT 45S, because this size is great for light tackle reef fishing in shallow water. And some soft plastics also always work.

@@chizzyfishing fishing Oki main island sucks compared to the outer islands. If you come back again, head to some of those again - the further away they are, the better the fishing!

@@owenphillips9166 Thanks for the tip 👍. This was on Izena Island, which was pretty good in my opinion. I fished in the shallows, so no monster fish, but decent activity. Next time I will try some boat fishing and some spots with deeper water. 💪

Just have fun with whatever fishing rod you have, I believe you don't need expensive and fancy equipment to have fun and catch some fish 🎣 🌊. In the Maldives you just need a couple of small crankbaits and some soft plastics to catch Grouper, Emperor, Trevally's, Barracuda etc. Try to walk as far as possible in the water to get closer to the reef 🪸, but please be safe 🙏. Maldives is a beautiful country 🇲🇻

@@AbdulRahman-sc6zy The Blue Spotted Grouper is very common in The Maldives, and a beautiful fish 🐟. Just keep on trying and perhaps you can get a bit longer fishing rod in the future so you can cast a bit further out. However, there are a lot of groupers hiding in the rocks around the harbour, so you don't always need a big fishing rod 🎣👍. Do you catch and release or do you keep the fish to eat? 🔥

@@PaulDanciu This was not in Rotterdam, but in Delfzijl (a place in Groningen in the north of the country). However, they are pretty common all around The Netherlands I believe. But it does matter when you fish for them. They are a bit harder to catch during the hottest months of the year. Also keep in mind, if you fish in dirty water they swim more shallow. If the water is clear you need to fish deeper. Also fish at the end of the day (sunset till after the sunset). I am more of a saltwater guy and not a pro when we talk about Zander fishing, so perhaps you are just at the wrong spot and need to try a different location 😉. Good luck mate 🤙

@chizzyfishing mate strong curent and seabass will wait in structure, i have good success with black minnow 9cm white color...all time i succes at least 1 fish.

It really depends on what you want to catch. If you want to catch these little Groupers, use a small soft plastic and fish very low (bouncing on the rocks). If you want to catch barracuda or amberjack use a big crankbait or jiggs.
