Well I finally worked it all out and your video was a lifesaver, especially how the canbus thingy manages the steering wheel controls. I bought the unit 3 months ago from a very unhelpful man in china, there was no canbus in the pack so I had to buy that separately from some other man in china. Anyway it all works fine now. Thanks again for your efforts.
Hi. I have just bought a Junsun for my Mazda 3 and now trying to sort out the canbus. You say near the end that you spoke to a service agent, what did they tell you please? Mine says Raise Tek and i have tried different can types. Thank You.
The service agent was the salesman from Aliexpress. It was a canbus setting that fixed it. Your's should be very much the same as mine. I would help but have the big C virus right now.
@@chuxxsss Really appreciate your reply. I have kind of fixed it this morning. When I chose can type 145 for the Mazda 3 a window pops up at reboot showing controls for the heating and AC which wouldn't go away unless we unplugged the can bus. This morning I tried again but this time I had the fan/blower on. After reboot the window popped up but disappeared. So I may contact Junsun to see if this is a bug or see if I can live with it. Loving it so far, it's much better than my old Pumpkin unit. Thank you for your video and hope your time with the C is brief. Merry Christmas:)
Thanks for the video. Did you receive any actual installation instructions with the unit? Especially wiring looms. I have the unit but seem to have part of the loom missing, eg canbus.
Hi, i have same player and it doesn't play radio anymore. On your video it doesn't play too and my have same noise. I tryong to search channel, but nithing in any chanels. Do you know how you created to work radio again?
Sorry my radio works, I did install a replacement skin from the app store. But it it is noise maybe a dry joint on the earth of the radio causing your problems. All the best.
"Enter Setting", then enter "About your device", then at the bottom there is a code number needed, 8878 is the code. Don't touch other stuff. Or though I changed to the Mazda symbol in there too. Go to "Can Type" Now it will be blank, but change it to something then select 145 for mazda. then save get out of it. Not bad from straight off what I remember.
@@chuxxsss Thanks for reply. I did this but in addition I needed to map buttons individually in settings part "SRC". Do you have good FM radio reception? Mine is horrible and I don't know what to do about that.
@@jurajjamrich7905 The FM is amazing in my wife's mazda. Did you hook up the two wire system. I almost miss it, one wire was yellow I think. It attached to the original Antenna connection. Good Luck.
@@chuxxsss Hi, i just installed one of these junsun just a couple of days ago, tho mine is the 2g/32gb unit, but i am satisfied with it. it's responsive with some unnoticeable delays but good overall in my opinion. however, i encountered the exact same thing. i got everything working other than the steering wheel controls. it says "raise tech" on the dash and i was following your instructions, but for some reason, my android software is different from yours. i know i might need to update the firmware, but i just want to get this sorted first. my question is, is that code number 8878, is the anti theft code from the mazda factory radio? or is it the junsun unit code? And where did you get it?online? Website? i couldn't find those number in the manual it came with. Or is it junsun units universal code?thanks in advance
Hi there, thanks for the video!! I do have the same Junsun and I have an issue with the rear speakers: since I have installed the that unit the rear speakers are not working😩 does anyone know how to solve this issue?? HELP
So both of them? You speakers may have shorted part of your power amp. As you need the right resistance. Check the specs of the Junsun first, then the speakers ohms.
Maybe that is the speaker for the annoyances? Put a switch in it if it is. Nice work...looking forward to part 2. One thing I'd love to know is it bright enough to cater for direct sun?
It is bright for sun light, and you can turn it off at night very quickly. Next one has lane assistance and more. ;) Plus I could buy a Tesla so I did the next best thing for the shed.

I have same or similar unit..for ix35..how do i install the mic and dab+box?
The mic input is on the back. My wife ran it under everything to hide it. If the dab is the box to the driver wheel, it goes in the back, too.
how are you getting on with it? I assume the mic is needed? What memory did you go for? And is CarPlay any good? Thanks @
