Thank you so much, just saved this old printer from the junkyard ( or recycling ) thanks to you ... The printer was printing super fade even after replacing cartridges ... and i was about to buy another one ... But thankfully i tried your advice and BINGO ... it works even better than before! NOTE: I did not have alcool, so i used peroxide and it work great ...
Awesome awesome. Glad to hear that!
It worked. But when I printed a quality report, I had some missing blue colour at the beginning of the blue square. But this was the cartridge. I put in a new cartridge, then it worked fine. So I learned that there can be also a cartridge problem.
Great & Thank You For Subscribing!
One importrant point!
Alcohol is very harsh!
Best to use plain water as the ink is water soluable. Works a treat.
And only put in as much water as required to cover the 4 ink wells. Do not submerge the entire print head!
You will need to do this multiple times, emptying out the stained water and refilling with clean water until no more ink oozes out into the water.
Doing this with alcohol hence becomes very expensive as well as possibly damaging the print head.
Maybe take a couple of days depending how long the printer has been sitting around not being used.
Hi, I would recommend using the kit in the description. The cleaning fluid is safe for use on a printer printhead.
Thanks, I couldn't even find instructions online from HP on how to do this. Now to find out if it works (error: ink system has failed).
I have this error code come up, too.
Can you help? I fixed my paper jam error by replacing a gear on the right. So the printhead moves now, but under the area where the printhead sits, it is all gunked up with ink (looks mostly black). It did sit idle for a while until I figured out how to fix it. Do I try to clean out the ink? Thanks

How did you attach the hose to faucet? I'm pretty handy and can't find a connection anywhere. I can buy the hose but need the red adapter.

I have this printer and when I turn it on it gives me error code 061011beb, does anyone know what this means and how to correct it?
Thanks!
No problem!
How do I clean the ink waste compartment? It's full of old ink from cleaning cycles.
You can use a paper towel and isoprophyl alchohol.
Thanks. Very helpful.
i replaced the ink cartidges and the ink carridge has moved to the right and it appears that the cartidges are stuck there. is there a way to open this
Sorry I wasn’t able to get to your message. Please create a new comment with the same question if you still need a response. Thank you!
Is it OK to leave the cartridges out for 24-48 hours? Won't they dry out? I looked at this because even though I just put NEW cartridges in my printer, ($70.00)the black ink won't print. I really don't want the new cartridges to dry out. Thanks for your help.
you have to reset the ink
You can put some tesa band where the ink comes out to avoid that the ink dries out.
My printer cartridge will not move.
It has to.
My printer also is like this but the problem become black ink does not print ,ido no why?
Hamza Bingwe it could be clogged. Try setting the ink cartridge itself on a paper towel that's wet with warm water to moisten any dried ink. Then put on a dry paper towel (ensuring the paper towel is touching the actual ink part) to wick away the ink and get it flowing again
@@jessicakcarvalho thanx a lot mamy
Hamza Bingwe you're welcome! I just fixed mine today too
I have a question.. on the far right corner of the printer there looks like a lot of ink spilled. The cartridges I buy run through pretty rapidly so I think this has been an ongoing issue. Is there anything else that I can clean to get a better result?
Me too - I have a mess of ink on the right side. Impossible to access to clean it safely. Any tips anyone?
@@aliceandrews3337 I’m gaving this same issue
hi. there's a video on how-to remove the plastic cover over the working mechanism to get to the ink whatchamacallit. (you'd think they'd make it EASY, but noooooo). here's the link and it's for the brave of heart. OR those who just want REVENGE on HP by removing the can't-open-the-lid-far-enough clips, removing side panels and then the top panel and VIOLA!! you can get to the gunk. get LONG cotton swab sticks and isopropyl alcohol and have patience. the area on the righthandside is where the PRINTHEAD CLEANING happens, which is why it's sooo damn gunky. BUT if the printer's using lots of ink..check the print characteristics, you don't need a billion dots per inch, 300 is usually good enough unless you're doing professional color work. that's my guess. or could be the flavor of ink, perhaps you need the XL heavy-duty ink cartridges...? Hey, at least your print isn't saying INK FAILURE or PRINTHEAD IS DAMAGED or something, like mine 😵💫 oops forget to add the link th-cam.com/video/CjqHFN-da8M/w-d-xo.html otherwise known as "HP 6500 E709n, HP 6500A plus E710n officejet AIO disassembly". PS hint: create a bookmarks folder for printer issues, saves time getting back to the video though you can just click on LIBRARY to see your old stuff...I think...bookmarks are faster... I have hundreds.... and also see the stuff on the right side of the screen here, Paolo Marcelli looks innerestin'.... Happy trails...
I can not clean the clogged printer head. Only the black works perfectly. I will use it as a W&B printer.
Hi. I had problems with the black ink cartridge only so I tried to replace it, but with the same result. So I figured it had to be the printhead that needed cleaning as demonstrated in this video. After I did the cleaning I now get this error message: Ink system has failed. Cannot copy, receive faxes or print. Error: 0xc19a0013. Any idea how to recover from this? Thanks
Take this Print and just wash under a good flow at the sink. I never use alcohol and dry it off well. Look at the bottom where the ink comes out. If it looks good put it back in the machine.
