I really enjoyed seeing your mom. It brought back so many memories of the times my mother and I trifled, painted and up cycled together. Trash to Treasure is definitely fun and rewarding! I am probably around your moms age and have been doing this all my life too. It irks me to death to see someone recover a chair/ottoman/stool and not tackle those corners like your mom does. I’m one that does take the time to get it right too! Just a tip: If I'm going to take apart the entire piece, I paint the legs before I take the piece apart. That way I don't worry about the mess. One of the best upholstery tutorials ever!!!

my dad was a professional upholsterer, he always did the four corners first. pull the fabric right at the point and staple, then each side of the point and staple. then he did the sides. Perfect everytime

Just a tip: If I'm going to take apart the entire piece, I paint the legs before I take the piece apart. That way I don't worry about the mess. One of the best upholstery tutorials ever!!!

my dad was a professional upholsterer, he always did the four corners first. pull the fabric right at the point and staple, then each side of the point and staple. then he did the sides. Perfect everytime

Wow, your mom did a great job at presenting all her trash to treasures. Loved all her great ideas. Wish my Goodwill gave great prices like yours did. Also that staple gun works much better than mine. I must have at least 4 n 2 electric n none of them work that great they never get the staple all the way down.

She said that the Goodwills are cheaper than the Salvation Army's, but most things she got were $1.99! That's incredibly cheaper!!! WOW!
