Thanks for the update, I'm pleased to see the progress that this country is making, We are heading in the right direction. We just need to exercise some patience.
@@garfieldwhittaker944why so negative, if china did do it, it would be wider, but then yall would complain about Andrew selling us out, so our local people did what we could, if you want it wider go and build it
This congestion in downtown Montego Bay is precisely why there needs to be a dedicated exit/entrance on the Montego Bay Perimeter Road for the Cornwall Regional Hospital/Western Jamaica Children Hospital complex (via the extension/widening of the Mt. Salem main road) so as to speed up access to critical medical services in order to save lives...
@@ollark the problem here is that the bypass is being planned from Kingston and not Mobay so these objectives are overlooked given the need to cut cost and speed up the project for political purposes....omitting an exit/entrance to the Cornwall Regional Hospital is a huge error...!
Awesome! I am glad that you were able to find my channel. Hope you enjoyed your cruise. If you decide to come back to Jamaica, just contact me and I will take you guys around.
Yes, the Montego Bay Perimeter Road Bridge is the longest Bridge in Jamaica, at approximately 180 Meters (590 FT). The Yallas Bridge at approximately 157 Meters (515 FT), the Bustamante Bridge at approximately 20 Meters (65 FT) And for a little fun, Flat Bridge at approximately 45 Meters (147 FT)😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The deep trench leading to the longest bridge in Jamaica needs to be entunneled to prevent people and/or mother nature throwing rocks onto the surface of the highway which will be a serious safety issue....
Is it actually the longest bridge in Jamaica? For that answer we must look at the lengths of the Yallahs bridge and the Bustamante bridge in St Thomas. Both go over rivers; the Yallahs River and the Johnson River respectively. The longest bridge, in my estimation would be the Portmore Causeway in St Catherine, which goes over ocean water, spanning the sea at St Augusta Women's Prison and the brackish water lagoon that goes into Hunts' Bay.
@@JadenMalikIts actual name is The Hunts Bay Bridge. I grew up calling it (like many people around Kingston & Portmore) The causeway. A causeway may not be a bridge in their definitions, but technically they have most of the same elements 4:48 . To be fair to you though, The Montego Bay Perimeter Bridge has been labeled as the longest bridge in Jamaica. Nevertheless, I still question that claim especially when compared to the Hunts Bay Bridge connecting Kingston to Portmore. 4:55
Great video. I did not know that so many activities existed in the southern section of the island for tourists. Now the main focus is to make the rich men even richer so it’s mainly the big companies who are benefiting from tourism. The locals are not getting much from tourism anymore and then you see on the news about the how billions that tourism is bringing to the island. Foolishness I tell you.
@@BrownBossJaTours The main problem is that they are building the mega large all inclusive hotels in the wrong places. Montego Bay does not need anymore all inclusive hotels, they should be building them in St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland and Manchester. Once we are on the tourism map, then the smaller hotels and guest houses will benefit as well, as the area would become popular with tourists. Also, there are many low skilled middle aged unemployed people who would love those jobs, in the all inclusive hotels in rural parishes.

Yes indeed. Our future looks bright!
Andrew holiness road to progress the man with the blue print first world country 🙏🙏🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
This roadway is too narrow and will become congested once the areas around the bypass urbanize and densify.....

Awesome idea! Too many times the ambulance gets stuck in traffic and at time cause accidents on the road.
I hope that is the case. That exit/entrance would connect the area even better.

Another great video as always one question 🙋🏾♂️ do you know if they will be a walking 🚶♀️ passing on this bridge i think it’s a must
Don't think that they want to encourage bridge walking...😅
I really don’t think so at all

Thanks for pointing that out. Better to fix it from early than to wait until it’s too late or something happens.

Well at the moment the Bustamante Bridge is the longest bridge, but when this bridge is completed it would be the largest and longest 4 lane bridge.
A causeway is not a bridge, let’s start there.
