Hi Nicolas ,yesterday I bought a new toyota land cruiser fj 40 body for my scx 10 . But it has got very short wheelbase . I want make that body shorter .Just like you .But I don't know how to do it . Can you write how you did it please ? What type of glue can I use or what .Please everything important about it. Thanks for your answer. :-)
Cool ! First I mark the shape where I want to cut the body using some tape. I cut the body with a sharp exacto blade. Trace it and fold it gently to separate it. Before applying the glue gently sand the body with a sponge and wash the body with soap. Rinse and dry everything. To glue the 2 parts I use a glue a called "Shoe Goo" and styrene or polycarbonate pieces on the inside. Let it dry overnight. Then you can start painting. I use metal color on the inside and external color on the outside. This way when you scratch the body it'll reveal metal color. Go on the forum of rccrawler . com and search for "fullspeeddesign". In a build thread called "Ute BJ" you'll see interesting pictures. Hope this helps.
