First time I played this game, I had this blue lizard targeting me in industrial complex. It was camping the 2nd hibernation shelter from outskirts gate, so I went to the 1st instead. Next cycle as I start climbing up back to where I was this FUCKER LEAPS FROM THE TOP OF THE SCREEN AND STARTS CHASING ME LIKE HE WAS THE PUNISHER OR SOMETHING I fucking love this game
some people might criticize this as being poor-quality ai and whatever but honestly? i think it gives the game an immense amount of charm, not even to mention making each one a more unique individual (aided significantly by their unique appearances)
Once I died to a salamander in shoreline, and the whole rest of the cycle I watched it carry me back to that room with the shelter and 3 different pipes at the top and it was just stuck going back and fourth on the pole to the pipe closest to the shelter, and sometimes it did get through the pipe but then just went back out and I watched it do that probably for 10 minutes straight. Then it started raining, and it stilled continue to do that even when it was completely flooded. Then it drowned.
Y'all probably know this already, but in both cases the creatures got somewhere from where they can't get back to their dens. Dunno bout that salamander (if it fell down one of the pipes in those rooms it's not gonna get back up) but the pink lizard at the end of the video is a known issue. It falls down and gets completely stuck. Weird for the salamander tho, I thought in a pinch they could use any den they wanted.
this kinda reminds me of this one time I saw a lamb (i think it was a few days, maybe a week old? Idk). I guess seeing some dude by the gate must have activated its flight or fight response because it bolted for the other side of the area it was in- reached the other side about 10 meters away and then turned around and ran back. It got about 3 meters away from me, saw me again and then repeated the cycle about five times before I left.
The lad at 1:00 was just scriggil'n we all gotta scriggle sometimes, maybe even a scraggle if I had to bet. Plust with lizords despising the blue lads they were probably sciggiling in secret and safe tunnel
My favorite creature is the falling scav that comes from nowhere and has no point of origin

All the AI smart was given to scavs when they're throwing spears at you 2 screens away and king vultures no-scoping from the heavens
It still not enough because if one scav decides to throw a bomb everybody dies.

As you play Rain World, without even noticing it, you go from thinking "wow, what smart AI!" to thinking "wow, what dumbass animals"

blue lizards are my favorite because 1: they're weak so they don't pose much of a threat 2: they're adorable 3: they spin around a lot
