Really enjoyed that Peter. I gotta say that was some kind of line up of Cairngorm Mountains. All the stars were there. Fantastic views. And what a day. No lift down but a nice saunter no doubt. Interesting that about the golf club because Kington Golf course in Herefordshire reaches higher at 391 meters. It's said to be the highest In England but no the UK. Looking at this it may even hold that title. Well, good going - a lovely walk and a long awaited corbett bagged. Mark

Thanks mate! Yeah it was lovely up there it was a hill i wanted to climb for years as i knew it would be a good vantage point to pick out the big ones in the high Cairngorm range. Just checked the golf courses i think im right about the highest one being in Wales(Gwent) im sure i read about it a good few years back, Scotlands highest one is not Braemar either so i assume this title must have been claimed before modern mapping technology was introduced. Thanks for taking time to watch Mark looking forward to your next epic adventure, peter.

Busier than braemar main street. I really want to do two of your walks this year Peter... braeriach and friends and the white mounth round. I have watched your videos several times now. • @MUNROSnCORBETTS

Na i do not mate horrible messy things. The White Mounth you will canter that no bother Paul honestly mate talking about 7-8 hours tops once you are up to the first Munro Broad Cairn its more or less easy simple walking especially for the first three Munros. The Braeriach round is a different matter a long tough 22 mile walk that will need an overnighter with a tent or a bunk in Corrour Bothy. Two things caught me out up there was the distance between the Munros they look close but in reality they are quite far apart especially the walk over the Plateau from Braeriach to Sgor an Lochain Uaine and there are boulder fields on Cairn Toul up and down which are quite dodgy. Second thing was the walk back through the Lairig Ghru it is also longer than it looks and a rise back up to 835mt around about the Pools of Dee and bear in mind you will still have the Chalamain Gap to put up with too. I started walking back from my tent around 5am and got back to the Sugar Bowl at 11am. I would advise in bagging the Munros first then an overnighter in the Lairig Ghru then the walk back next day.

Great video! Couple things though, dunno why you seem so against these masts? The mountain rescue use them for their radios, so they have helped to save countless lives on the Cairngorms! Also few name errors of some of the hills, easy done though, not good to read some of the names! To give you a hand this is how us locals pronounce them, beinn a bhuird is “Ben a’ boord”, it’s Ben Avon not Ben Ann, and it’s cairn of claise not clasha! 👍

Being a "Weegie" i wont be as fimiliar to the mountain names as your good self but i have two sources for them 1, the Walk Highlands website which is probably the most trusted one you can get and 2, i am friends with a Gaelic speaker who is from Eriskay and he is a good help on these things. But he also told me that from town to town even over short distances Gaelic pronunciations differ very much which was a big surprise to me when he explained.
