I agree..I feel the monkey paw gives really good feedback.. I think it's the handle as well... Nice video!

@@GreyhoundPicking Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad I used it in my experiment, something I wasn’t expecting.

It would be interesting to compare the Moki picks to these, they have larger handles and can be used bare without the scales and use the same 301 high yield steel as the Covert instruments picks.

I do believe you can get better feedback with a bigger handles personally. I noticed when I first started picking an CI was my first ever set that I got until I got jimmy longs. Jimmy long is making a full tang resin handle now an I'm really looking forward when he comes back in stock. I recently just got the 44 delta 3d printed handle for the reaper set an ill admit, they don't make the feedback more noticeable but your hands are more comfortable an I guess calm to noticed how far you are in picking into any lock. My hands start to cramp an go stiff from putting many hours of picking but with bigger handles, it makes picking hours even longer. Btw how do you feel about the apex project boss? I'm pretty excited for them since we are in the topic of handles.

I’m super intrigued with any handles outside of just steel. I worry about the possible loss of feedback. Might need to get a set of Apex just to explore. As of now, I’m trying to focus my practice on using the same-like handles. Didn’t want to practice with one type then have a different type when needed or in the wild. Trying to be consistent I guess. Think you’ll get an Apex set right away? Neat video they made. Might also need to buy a set to check out different profiles I noticed.

@@PETEfromPA I'm definitely getting it once they come out.

I had to order some handles too for my CI picks. The picks are fine for a quick pick, theyre small and save more space for transportation but for practicing at home i can't practice for very long or focus on what im doing when my hands start cramping.

I haven’t had any hand cramping yet, so I can’t help to ask which part of the hand? By any chance is it the part of the hand under the thumb?

@@PETEfromPA personally my right middle finger is my picking hand and that specifically starts to get sore. For my left hand it depends on the lock that I'm holding if it has sharp corners or ridges. So I wear gloves to add comfort.

I wonder if on the monkey paw that the notch in the hook itself helps feel the feedback along with actually catching the pins. Just a thought

I have some of the reg handled Monkey Paws but in 15 & 20 thousand. I like the question. Now I’m on a mission to find out. Thanks for the feedback!

Thinking more, wouldn’t that be something if the notch in the money paw acting like a Tuning Fork, from music class, amplify the vibration (click)? Crazy….
