I have worked on one of these projects years ago. Found that the 1st Gen crv rear wheel bearing has the same bolt in pattern of the bearing housing unit of the awd wagon. Then I used 2006 civic front hubs into the crv rear bearings. I paired that with a da front knuckle with 2006 civic front hubs. With that setup factory 2008 accord v6 coupe 6mt brakes and rotors bolted right to the da knuckle without clearance issues. That gives you a 5 lug awd ef with 300mm front rotors
In a couple parts the mic cord was having issues. We didn't know until we were editing it. But, what about the prospect of AWD K powered EFs roaming the land? This could be awesome.
So glad that the EF series is getting love, I have a lifted Civic Wagon and I dream of one day having a lifted K series wagon. This is going to be great.
I'd love to see a rally civic! I've taken my 91 sedan through mud holes and fields people wouldn't take their 4x4 trucks through, so the idea of this is really exciting! Do it!
Love the video! I'm doing a swap myself and I feel that folks are doing too much to make this work. Looks like Brian agrees! I'm hopefully posting the vlog of me putting my control arms together this weekend. Civic drum brake arm converted to disk brakes
You guys really are making my dreams come true. Awd EF or CRX is my dream build and I hope you guys make this everything it can be. If your bolt in kits are affordable I'll have the street rod and the rally rat ❤❤
I really enjoy these videos you I've learned alot watching your guys videos thanks. Just got into hondas 2 and a half years ago and it's been a fun ride I own a 97 hatch and 08 si sedan. The prospect of seeing bolt in awd kits for honda chassis is awesome also its cool your thinking of rally style strength and performance. Love hasport and always great videos guys.
Odyssey Fab has come out a rear mounting kit for a wagon diff that you cut and weld on the rear subframe. It’s only about $300 which is very affordable considering what other companies are selling it for and a lot more basic. The most expensive part is the rear trailing arms so if you can come up with a solution for that it would be tits!
That's gonna be sick! Ima have to get me a project crx or an eg hb AWD would be bad ass! Especially if it's from HASPORT! 2 wheel drive on my K24A/2 powered FA5 civic si sucks a bit cuz in 1st gear,i get nothing but spin & thats without launching it,i can imagine if it were awd, that spinning wheel problem would be non-existent lol maybe later on in the future, you guys can make an AWD FA5 civic bolt on kit too🙏
If Hasport is leaning for the New All Awd kit set up trend. They should build a Suspension Lift kit offroad Setup for the RD1 Gen. 1 Crv too. They seems to be well knowledgable with honda cars.
I am a former Honda owner who switch to Subaru back in 2002. I had a 81' Civic, 89' CRX Si and a 94' Civic Dx all modified. I find this conversion very interesting. The question I have is what do you do for a center diff? Does it have one? STi and Evos have elaborate center diffs.
All I have to ask is.... Where's the love for the 1st Gen Accords at? Its a hard road to do any of this on the Granddaddy Accord. I couldn't begin to express my feelings for my 1981 Accord LX ek1 1.8l Hatchback.(GreenGRAVY)
I bought an '87 Accord the other day because it was beautifully kept, clean, inside and out, but the engine has over 300k on it and it won't pass smog. I only paid $250 so it's not the end of the world if I can't really do anything with it, but I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of someone who has maybe done a k-swap in the CA chassis?
can VtecAcademy or any other honda gurus out there, tell me if there is a big brake style upgrade for the 08 honda CR-V with the K24, i heard maybe the TSX rotors and calipers swap over to give bigger/better front brakes but cant confirm it.
I think if you're going to make a rear diff carrier, you'd be far better off making it for Element/CRV rear diff, and not WagoVan. The wago rear diff is awesome, but requires the use of the factory driveshaft with the viscous limited slip built into the driveshaft, and those things are rarer than hen's teeth these days, and ungodly expensive when you do find them. The Element rear diff however, is easy to find, and there is one company that makes a performance rear ramp engagement kit for it that makes it lock up faster and harder.
🤔 there is already a bolt on kit for ef/eg/ek for b-series k-series and h2b... That lets u use crv/element they even have a version for you to use Ford diff.
Hi im currently working on my 88 accord and i wanted to know if i could use an 88 civic awd dif and a custom driveshaft and mate it with an awd k24 engine/trans manual.
HandicapRacer The thing is that we live in the USA and even if there were AWD CRXs, they didn’t sell enough to make them a viable or affordable option for anyone 30 years later.
You guys need to get a handle on the audio issues. This is not the first video I've watched of yours where the audio is not good. I wanted to watch, but this stuff sounds terrible on 5.1

Nice. I will try that out. We are building a rallycross wagon, so 5 lugs is a good safety measure.
isucaps, so you used the accord brakes on the rear setup as well? or stock wagon calpiers? stock crv calipers? Thanks
Also what prop valve would you need to use for this setup?
Anyone’s audio choppy?
Yes
Mine too, it’s hard to hear what is said
I keep thinking my headphones were struggling. But now I know
I thought it was just me

*Audio is Crap at times but the information is PRICELESS!*
Thanks! Sometimes bad audio happens, but we always try to bring information that will help people with their builds.
So glad that the EF series is getting love, I have a lifted Civic Wagon and I dream of one day having a lifted K series wagon. This is going to be great.
Dash-n-Cars thank you! An awd k series was rips. One of the Hasport employees has built one.
@@VTECAcademy That's on the goals for the future, once all of this AWD conversion tax goes down!
Was wondering how long it would be before we saw this happen, PUMPED!!!!
There's a kit already out.
I'd love to see a rally civic! I've taken my 91 sedan through mud holes and fields people wouldn't take their 4x4 trucks through, so the idea of this is really exciting!
Do it!
Glad im not the only one who shows up some trucks in my 91 hatch 😂
These are going to be internet history for a generation to come.
Jacob Mueller Hopefully it’ll help demystify future swaps for people.
So excited for EK awd kits. It's always been the dream, starting to seem more real these days!
FCS makes an ek awd kit I believe
I can't wait to get my rear bracket and trans mount for my B series EG all wheel drive project
Love the video! I'm doing a swap myself and I feel that folks are doing too much to make this work. Looks like Brian agrees! I'm hopefully posting the vlog of me putting my control arms together this weekend. Civic drum brake arm converted to disk brakes
I just subscribed.
@@kzarnold3678 thanks man!
I have 1990 Honda crx si, after watching this video, for sure might want mount bracket for k series awd set up.
You guys really are making my dreams come true. Awd EF or CRX is my dream build and I hope you guys make this everything it can be. If your bolt in kits are affordable I'll have the street rod and the rally rat ❤❤
I love your show
I have a 1990 Honda crx si
My goal is an awd conversion
Really want rear mount bracket
A lot of cool info here, can’t wait to do my awd swap
Innovation deserves liked and subscribed
Thank you!

Julius Jones Thanks for watching! It’s a fun idea to beat those AWD/4WD cars at their own game.
nice work only one issue . the wagon civic parts are super hard to find and now people are asking stupid amounts for them.
unless you are making huge power, CRV parts will work
Yessss hasport awd kits!! Looks like I may wait until you guys have a kit for my 2000 4 door integra!
pFbSpecV harvest your drivetrain parts now though. Price is climbing
I hope hasport comes out with a legit awd kit . I'd be happy to buy it

George Melchor Thanks! An awd FA5 would be bad ass. 🤔 Something to possibly do in the future.
AWD Hondas are the next big thing for sure
Am going back to my ef
Mars rocks we hope so!
The sound quality ruined it for me. I love this channel. I'm not a hater. Would have loved to hear every word properly.
Can’t wait to awd my CRX
It would be killer.
Gentleman's, we want to see you working on the 81 project, please
This is so exciting 😁
My friends give Hub City In Maryland I believe, a call they have kits already avail
If Hasport is leaning for the New All Awd kit set up trend. They should build a Suspension Lift kit offroad Setup for the RD1 Gen. 1 Crv too. They seems to be well knowledgable with honda cars.
I wonder what car it was that busted the mic lol I cant wait for the next one! Great R&D vid guys!
would be good to use crv parts instead of rare ef wagon
Absolutely.
Crv parts are weaker
The rear diffs are horrible
It’s 5 lug
And probably way different

Hasport needs to do EG chassis!!! It’s most built Honda hatch out of the generations!!!
I really want to do this conversion to the CRX B16B I mean it could shave off .500 of a second or more depending on setup.

If hasport did one swap I'm first to book one
Now do a awd 3rd gen 4ws prelude build
1988-1991 FTW.
Hasport should make an h2b kit
Boom 💣💣💣💣
Hasport AWD conversion kit?
Dope, right?
@@VTECAcademy can't wait! an easier AWD kit would be awesome I would definitely be in line for one.
What about Honda V6 AWD kits? It’s time!!!
Shirt ordered
Just look how sp tuning did his crx and also Yongstatic

What would be the best options for tunable ECU's on this AWD conversion? Would you still go with the 05 Accord (K-tuned)?
Will you guys ever drag race a car with a k20c1 engine in it? I'm curious about drag time
Chris if fired, 🔊
i would love to watch it all, sadly the audio makes it unwatchable for me :/

Search Automotive K&D lol
what about a Ridgeline rear Diff and suspension ?

macspeed Ahahahah!
whats with the choppy audio?
NIX thought it was just me lol.
Mic issues.
S.O.B! THOUGHT I BEEN SUNSCRIBED😣
Hi im currently working on my 88 accord and i wanted to know if i could use an 88 civic awd dif and a custom driveshaft and mate it with an awd k24 engine/trans manual.
So much hackery dackery for something that was offered from the factory since 88 in europe😂
They had the hatch and CRX with AWD??
HandicapRacer The thing is that we live in the USA and even if there were AWD CRXs, they didn’t sell enough to make them a viable or affordable option for anyone 30 years later.
I was gunna say. Sounds like the mic is going out on the camera they used. Choppy audio throughout the whole video.
Is it possible to awd civic ej2 with b18c4 ?
I wish people would stop calling 88-91 wagons EF because they are NOT an EF model. FUCK!
Duse that say straight up on his arm?
Jarrett Labate Hush up, he’s the owner of Hush Performance.
AWD drive kit for 4th gen prelude .. there’s not much for the prelude and you will definitely sell out
Gen 3-5
i think theres a mouth breather behind the camera
The one downVote is a person who doesn't know what AWD is.
JustSendIt from a Mitsubishi guy lol
too bad people are breaking their blocks using the hasport rear bracket
Hasport released a new bracket that fixes that problem. Anyone with the old bracket can call Hasport and get a replacement bracket for free.
Epic tuning did it first btw

get some better audio equipment guys sheesh every other sentence is choppy
Probably just how the video was encoded.
Choppy af
Sound is garbage
