Russia Approaches a Key Ukrainian Town as Ukrainians Counter Attack

Russian troops are advancing dangerously close to the cities of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region, heightening tensions as Ukrainian forces fiercely defend their positions. The Russian army is just 10 kilometers from Pokrovsk and 6 from Myrnohrad. Despite dwindling equipment, Russian forces are employing new tactics, sending smaller groups of soldiers in multiple directions to probe Ukrainian defenses. Meanwhile, Ukraine's recent gains in the Kursk region are putting additional pressure on Russian resources in an attempt to divert the attack from Pokrovsk.
