That 2016 Marlin team was a dream team. Fernandez, Yelich, Suzuki, Stanton, Ozuna, Realmuto, Gordon, Hechavarria...... but everything changed with JDF's death. True tragedy.
When I found out about this I was shocked even if I didn’t know much about Jose but as the time went on and I did my research it was like a movie like Christian just said. Like how can all this happen in a span of how many hours and days. Like everything just flips around and becomes this untold story of how amazing Jose was. 😣
God the Marlins were a young and upcoming team in 2016. God imagine if they still were on the Marlins, I would've been excited for this team bc they were a great team, and this is coming from a Phillies fan.
the Marlins have always been baseball's quadruple A team. they all would've been traded off either way. that's what they do. they're hoping to strike gold once in a blue moon when they get all these good players still on their rookie contract and all at the same time.
Funny how everyone says how "Tragic" his death was. ironically, no one ever mentions the other 2 people he killed when he crashed the boat he was driving drunk & coked out of his mind.
@@thezombienerd123 The blame is 100% entirely on him! He CHOSE to drive the boat! Just as the blame would have been put on one the other guys if they were driving the boat. The fact that they were all drunk and/or coked up, makes no difference. Jose made a bad choice. His death is indeed tragic... No more tragic than the other 2 men because he was a baseball player, which was my point all along.
H3llRayzor listen bitch news reporters don’t fucking know he was driving. They weren’t there dumbass. He’s famous. he willed be fucking blame if he is famous. So shut the fuck up!!!🖕🖕🖕🖕
That crash was so bad Jose had his back teeth smeared on the front railing of the boat 😬! That was how he was identified as the driver of the boat. He was on cocaine and alcohol at the time. Point is that was a sad event everyone makes mistakes but let’s remember Jose Fernandez wasn’t the only person on that boat, he’s not a victim he’s just like a drunk driver who doesn’t deserve the sympathy he gets! Why should he?! Cause he’s a baseball player? Would I get that same treatment under those circumstances? Hell no! Instead let’s think of those on the boat with him that we’re killed.
@@mattpoitras1949 But it was because of the drugs. He was under the influence driving the boat. If Fernandez had survived, he would have been charged with manslaughter for the other deaths on the boat.
They hit an unlit jetty while boating at night- José had just gotten in a fight with his fiance and his friends took him off to try cool down. Nobody should've been boating at night, drunk, high or sober.
One of the best storytelling I've heard in awhile.
petersonjohnson I can agree with you. Absolutely 💗

Yelich for sure smoked weed and has done psychedelics based on the way he tells stories
JMoneyStone Haven’t we all...
JMoneyStone hey my buddy knows Kyle schwarber and he says he’s one of the biggest stoners out there
Fernandez wouldve been traded by now at the deadline, probably Yankees, Cubs or Dodgers.
Calebe the beast probably not actually
they would have been buyers and world series contenders this year
idk about world series contenders, i think they would've been like the 2015 cubs
Calebe the beast he said he and Stanton would go to the Yankees after the 2018 season

They were also coked up, they knew what they were doing on that boat, don’t put the blame on one person when they all made a mistake
