I was a homeowner in Teaneck for 18yrs and being that my career was tied to NYC, I took full advantage of the convenient commute. Raised my kids there on a beautifully tree lined quiet street nothing like the crowded block I grew up on in NYC. I have since sold the Teaneck home and moved to the sun belt purchasing a newer house TWICE the size of my former Teaneck home. Aside from the positives I have to say that since moving south, I have a much bigger and newer home with a property tax bill 20% of what I paid in Teaneck . The property taxes in Teaneck and all of Bergen County are $KY HIGH and reputed to be among the worst in the entire nation!!! We spent so much money on property taxes to a point where it was difficult budget wise to do major upgrades. So if you are of modest income and are thinking of buying a home in Teaneck or any other town in Bergen County be prepared to kick out a lot of $$$ for property taxes 😒

To Mention Singer Al Hibbler who had an outstanding cover of Unchained Melody...
