I have been listening to Pastor Mike since I heard #RelationshipGoals and I've been growing and receiving but this really broke me and make me see differently. I've been a Christian all my life, been in church all my life and this message right here rocked me. I've never heard anything like this that clicked like this and I knew I needed just like this! Bruh 😩 I needed this I'm being tormented by the spirit of fashion. It's eating through my finances. It comes from lack and losing material things I've once had and insecurity because I feel like I should have more. I look good but I'm not doing good and I want to be delivered. I'm repeating the same cycle that my mom did and I don't want to live this way anymore. I stifle the unctioning from God by saying oh no it's ok it's on sale or oh I can make that back but I've been unemployed for over 2 months and not for lack of trying and now my family is getting evicted. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Pastor Todd I'm ready to surrender it
I will be praying for you. If you're so willing, I would appreciate prayer about letting the idol of painful relationships that stem from hurt, jelaousy and comparison be removed from my heart. People have really hurt me and I think about It all day everyday. I am jealous of those who seem to so easily let go of their frustration. I compare myself to those who seem free and I desire to be like that.
Thank you for sharing your story. As far as fashion, I understand. I used to buy things that I thought would help me love the way that I looked; but I ultimately bought clothes that I never wore (just like my mother, too). No clothing item can cover up self-hatred. One way that I've tried to combat this is telling God in my quiet time how I truly feel. Interestingly, the Word of the day (I meditate using the Abide app) always speaks something to my concern. (Today was, "I made you just the way I wanted and you reflect Me.) Another way is to use the "cash diet". If all your bills are paid, there's gas in the tank, and food on the fridge, THEN you can consider what to do with the rest of it. (This quelled my desire to run up my credit cards.) I'm praying that you and your family can find the resources to halt the eviction process.
I will continue to pray for this gentleman. We have to pray for the safety, protection, and God Given Grace over our leaders. This man is constantly portraying the word of God in ways that compare to today's Christians. MY GOD this was a good message.

It is so painful- dying to thyself seems to get harder the older we get bc of every chain that needs to be broken. I pray my testimony can help my teenage daughter to walk in the ways of the Lord and to those who are with me, may you never lose hope in His name. He’s been on a rescue mission before the beginning of time, I’m now ready to be rescued. By the grace of God, I am alive and a new daughter of the King.
