Through this sermon, it has been revealed to me why I don't trust God with His promises for me. Every time I ask my (earthly) dad for something he says he will get it or do it for me but he never does. It's to the point where I will ask (my earthly dad) but don't expect it to really get done or for him to give it to me and that has become the way I view God. I ask God for things but don't really believe He will do it for me & without belief/faith you can't manifest anything. I didn't realize the impact of daddy issues in my life until this sermon. Thanks for helping me get to the root of this. Lord release me this year from all strings attached to daddy issues, Amen!

Its funny how something that simple can impact you so deeply. I struggled to discuss this with my husband. I have never expected to have anything from anyone far less a male because my dad was trying to teaching my sister and I how to be independent and in his words not see him or my mum as the first persons to ask for help. It created and unhealthy practice of not asking for ANYTHING at all which I took into toxic relationships where I was giving and not getting and I didn't know I was numb to it because of how I was raised as a child. Post introspection I was able to explain that to my husband and I have to actively learn how to communicate my wants at the age of 37. Looking fwd to learning 3 years later since this was posted.

This was a God appointed sermon for me. I live with my father and have dealt with core issues unresolved for 33 years. All the negative hurtful messages from my earthly father are not what my heavenly father says about me. I have been expecting a man to fill the voids and love me like my father didn't. The more you try to push a man and expect him to fix what he didn't break , you will put pressure on him and he will walk away because he can't please you, or he will stick by you if you are working on the core issues and he doesn't bail, a man who believes in you and sticks by you. So true that the enemy is after the father because if he destroys the man, the family comes down with it, such as in my case. Relationship to relationship because of unhealed and unresolved core issues! My symptoms are anxiety, perfectionism ,ocd, fear of failure, criticism, unforgiveness,anger, well some are the trained behaviors, the ones that arent right but I didn't know any better.
I never grew up with my father or had a relationship with him, but I always told myself it never bothered me. This message opened emotions in me that I didn't think I had towards our relationship. I'm ready for deliverance and healing. Thank you, God, for speaking through Pastor Todd. Such a great message.

my journey this year has been to write and take notes while listening to these sermons (i am obviously far behind but i have a personal goal of finishing 2019 on time so i can be ontime for 2020) and i may pause the video and journal and write out things about my past or my struggles...then i take them into my monthly therapy sessions and its literally the perfect rehab for changing behavior and patterns. to add to that, my therapist is/was a pastor and i think God literally sent her to me, bc she helps me further understand this message. therapy and God is the formula.

@@theessenceofjade9739 well firstly im glad you voiced that because its important to understand there no shame in having a bad day or a complete meltdown, in relation to my situation right now, God has shown me that im not perfect and you know what its okay, its okay to not meet expectations and fail sometimes, its okay to be upset and angry sometimes, God loves us even at are worst or when we are feeling our worst. Life can feel absolutely crazy.. Most of the time no doubt! The ride is never easy, we go through trials and tests they say to build character, well sometimes when were in the mist of it all, we would rather have the personality of a wet fish then to go through the pain and suffering, sometimes its really hard to find the positive, but you will find it. You will find the solution. You will find your happiness again. Just be still in this time, be happy you made it through another day, your a blessing to others, your worth it, belive in yourself and love yourself, dont beat your self up, just simply exist, dont do anything or try anything to try and resolve your situation or heal the pain yourself, trust in God!

I seriously needed this, I have struggled all my life with all these issues because I don't know my father. He died before I was born and I tried to fill up the vacuum but nobody/ nothing could do that for me. Not the men I dated, friends, money, sex etc I battled with Rejection, low self esteem , abandonment, feeling unloved etc But thank God for his love for my life. Am healing daily. Mine is more like mummy issues. I remember some months when I was just eating out with a friend & discussing my mom & other spiritual issues, my friend said to me, “Do you realise that the same way you treat your mom, is the same way you treat God?” It hadn’t dawned on me until that day that my trust issues, patience & everything with God was all a bigger picture of how it was with my own mom. God will help us all through if we let him.

Oh my God the tears flowed. The part where you discussed adoption hit the feels, as I grew up feeling that although I have been raised by the most blessed family, I still was reminded of the fact that my mum left me here and wanted to abort me. I needed to hear this today. This video hits home for me. I let my past issues ruin my relationship with my future wife. I pushed her away because that's the way I dealt with things when it gets tough. I will not let my past continue to ruin my future
I grew up in a household with a father who was inactive. It wasn’t until I was 16 years old, that we had a real conversation. Now at 22 years old as married father of a 7 month old son. I recognise the need to surrender all of my daddy issues to Christ. We have to grow tired of unlearning the wrong way. And learning the right way so that we can teach our children how to minimise mistakes in their own future relationships. Glory be to God!

I love it when he said that God is the father to the fatherless child like me. Growing up without a father (earthly) and not knowing him there is a void in my heart that cannot be fill an emptiness I cannot explain and makes me broken from inside. When I set my mind on my father in heaven and release all the anxiety, negativity that comes without a worldly father. I simply put God on that emptiness and allow him to heal me and I surrender my life to Him. Everyday He always filled me with his words and his Love Now I'm full..

Deep down I really needed to hear this. I needed to hear this message because I am adopted and even though I have been blessed to have a family there are times where I feel alone and I feel by myself and there are times when I don't want to be around them and I get to the point where I feel like I need to leave I cannot be here no more. Nonetheless I tell God thank you for all that he has done for me. whatever emotions that are dwelling inside of me that caused me to be angry upset or annoyed quickly I give it to him because I know he cares and out of all the people in my life God is the only father I know.
I am crying and keep crying because my dad died when I was 3 years old and Ive come from a polygamous family, and I got treated soo unfairly from my step mother, and step-siblings and it damaged me completely! I got blamed for things I didn’t even know of when he was alive with my mother. This sermon really touched me! I believe I am healing it’ll take time but I trust in the Lord my Heavenly Father. I knew this already but i'm still mad that i have to figure life out on my won because my foundation was not solid. both my parents are alive and well , they just did what their parents did and now i have to break the cycle. and to be honest that can be DRAINING . i jUst need the strength to keep going and keep obeying God to do what he called me to do . i know i need to forgive and let it go tho. I’ve watched different sermons , but this was by far my favorite. It touched me, this is the first time watching a sermon that I felt like I was in the actual church, first time I’ve cried while watching a sermon. This really touched me.

God released me from my daddy issues very very recently. The way i see myself, relationships, and God has all changed. One thing he said that i unfortunately did was ruin a relationship with a good man because i was scared of marrying someone like my dad. however, i learned so much. watching this just confirmed everything i walked through.. whats crazy is right before release, I think i experienced my lowest low. depression, self doubt, low self esteem, feeling like God couldnt love it even though i knew better, I hit bottom... Then i had to go visit my dad in the hospital cause he has cancer. He was still mixed up in some mess, and as i was leaving God just spoke to me and said. "You are not your dads mistakes, you dont have to continue to carry them in you" i never realized everything i though was wrong with me where just the areas my dad failed to come thru as a father. In that moment i felt lighter and just havent been the same since. with that said the lust that was just a craving for emotional intamacy has just about died, i can focus on God. i can see myself clearer... so much has changed even my best friend of 10 years said she can see a difference and all the while i didnt think it was so visible. i say all that to say God will work it out for you. in the mid of me thinking i was unwanted by God he was working on showing me just how wanted i am.. however there is a ministry in your pain, just keep going. if you are at rock bottom a day break is on the way. if he could for me i know he can for you. guys i was MESSED UP.

This was a God appointed sermon for me. I live with my father and have dealt with core issues unresolved for 33 years. All the negative hurtful messages from my earthly father are not what my heavenly father says about me. I have been expecting a man to fill the voids and love me like my father didn't. The more you try to push a man and expect him to fix what he didn't break , you will put pressure on him and he will walk away because he can't please you, or he will stick by you if you are working on the core issues and he doesn't bail, a man who believes in you and sticks by you.
So true that the enemy is after the father because if he destroys the man, the family comes down with it, such as in my case. Relationship to relationship because of unhealed and unresolved core issues! My symptoms are anxiety, perfectionism ,ocd, fear of failure, criticism, unforgiveness,anger, well some are the trained behaviors, the ones that arent right but I didn't know any better.
I never grew up with my father or had a relationship with him, but I always told myself it never bothered me. This message opened emotions in me that I didn't think I had towards our relationship. I'm ready for deliverance and healing. Thank you, God, for speaking through Pastor Todd. Such a great message.

my journey this year has been to write and take notes while listening to these sermons (i am obviously far behind but i have a personal goal of finishing 2019 on time so i can be ontime for 2020) and i may pause the video and journal and write out things about my past or my struggles...then i take them into my monthly therapy sessions and its literally the perfect rehab for changing behavior and patterns. to add to that, my therapist is/was a pastor and i think God literally sent her to me, bc she helps me further understand this message. therapy and God is the formula.

@@theessenceofjade9739 well firstly im glad you voiced that because its important to understand there no shame in having a bad day or a complete meltdown, in relation to my situation right now, God has shown me that im not perfect and you know what its okay, its okay to not meet expectations and fail sometimes, its okay to be upset and angry sometimes, God loves us even at are worst or when we are feeling our worst. Life can feel absolutely crazy.. Most of the time no doubt! The ride is never easy, we go through trials and tests they say to build character, well sometimes when were in the mist of it all, we would rather have the personality of a wet fish then to go through the pain and suffering, sometimes its really hard to find the positive, but you will find it. You will find the solution. You will find your happiness again. Just be still in this time, be happy you made it through another day, your a blessing to others, your worth it, belive in yourself and love yourself, dont beat your self up, just simply exist, dont do anything or try anything to try and resolve your situation or heal the pain yourself, trust in God!

I seriously needed this, I have struggled all my life with all these issues because I don't know my father.
He died before I was born and I tried to fill up the vacuum but nobody/ nothing could do that for me. Not the men I dated, friends, money, sex etc

Mine is more like mummy issues. I remember some months when I was just eating out with a friend & discussing my mom & other spiritual issues, my friend said to me, “Do you realise that the same way you treat your mom, is the same way you treat God?” It hadn’t dawned on me until that day that my trust issues, patience & everything with God was all a bigger picture of how it was with my own mom. God will help us all through if we let him.

I grew up in a household with a father who was inactive. It wasn’t until I was 16 years old, that we had a real conversation. Now at 22 years old as married father of a 7 month old son. I recognise the need to surrender all of my daddy issues to Christ. We have to grow tired of unlearning the wrong way. And learning the right way so that we can teach our children how to minimise mistakes in their own future relationships. Glory be to God!

I love it when he said that God is the father to the fatherless child like me. Growing up without a father (earthly) and not knowing him there is a void in my heart that cannot be fill an emptiness I cannot explain and makes me broken from inside. When I set my mind on my father in heaven and release all the anxiety, negativity that comes without a worldly father. I simply put God on that emptiness and allow him to heal me and I surrender my life to Him. Everyday He always filled me with his words and his Love

Deep down I really needed to hear this. I needed to hear this message because I am adopted and even though I have been blessed to have a family there are times where I feel alone and I feel by myself and there are times when I don't want to be around them and I get to the point where I feel like I need to leave I cannot be here no more. Nonetheless I tell God thank you for all that he has done for me. whatever emotions that are dwelling inside of me that caused me to be angry upset or annoyed quickly I give it to him because I know he cares and out of all the people in my life God is the only father I know.

I am crying and keep crying because my dad died when I was 3 years old and Ive come from a polygamous family, and I got treated soo unfairly from my step mother, and step-siblings and it damaged me completely! I got blamed for things I didn’t even know of when he was alive with my mother. This sermon really touched me! I believe I am healing it’ll take time but I trust in the Lord my Heavenly Father. Thank you pastor mike and I thank God for using you! Your work on this earth for his kingdom is a true blessing for our generation.
I needed this. Recently I’ve been doing some self reflecting, i realized i don’t like who i am. Not on an insecure but i don’t like my habits / traits. I’ve realized as you said i was trained the wrong way. I can’t sleep and nothing is interesting me so i decided to watch a sermon and this confirmed everything i have been thinking/ feeling and gave me some more insight gonna watch the others this weekend.

I knew this already but i'm still mad that i have to figure life out on my won because my foundation was not solid. both my parents are alive and well , they just did what their parents did and now i have to break the cycle. and to be honest that can be DRAINING . i jUst need the strength to keep going and keep obeying God to do what he called me to do . i know i need to forgive and let it go tho. God released me from my daddy issues very very recently. The way i see myself, relationships, and God has all changed. One thing he said that i unfortunately did was ruin a relationship with a good man because i was scared of marrying someone like my dad. however, i learned so much. watching this just confirmed everything i walked through.. whats crazy is right before release, I think i experienced my lowest low. depression, self doubt, low self esteem, feeling like God couldnt love it even though i knew better, I hit bottom... Then i had to go visit my dad in the hospital cause he has cancer. He was still mixed up in some mess, and as i was leaving God just spoke to me and said. "You are not your dads mistakes, you dont have to continue to carry them in you" i never realized everything i though was wrong with me where just the areas my dad failed to come thru as a father. In that moment i felt lighter and just havent been the same since. with that said the lust that was just a craving for emotional intamacy has just about died, i can focus on God. i can see myself clearer... so much has changed even my best friend of 10 years said she can see a difference and all the while i didnt think it was so visible. i say all that to say God will work it out for you. in the mid of me thinking i was unwanted by God he was working on showing me just how wanted i am.. however there is a ministry in your pain, just keep going. if you are at rock bottom a day break is on the way. if he could for me i know he can for you. guys i was MESSED UP.

wow I am in tears while listening to this, I have never searched my past and looked at the very roots for my behaviour and its like my eyes are opened but thank God for the reset button that came through the cross. Learning to love!!! I will love myself and your children Lord for there is so much room in my Father's house - it has many mansions!

What I appreciate about this message is that it highlights the fact that it's not just about the absentee father but it's about the present fathers too (so everyone can see themselves in this message) I have a wonderful Dad, and I also have dad issues any thing that alters your mind/ behavior from God's Plan for you is an ISSUE!!!! This message was awesome thankyou for allowing the Lord to use you with NO hesitation!!!

Aubrey Hubert you can google prayers to remove soul ties, usually its best to pray with one or more ppl for those. See Matthew 18:20 :)
