And thank you for acknowledging the need for OCG cards, even in sanctioned SIDE events. Players could still support the franchise with official ocg cards, and many staples haven't been reprinted in TCG and are still costly especially in multiples.

Finished building this deck for my roommate, more of a goat player but Edison is my fav format and to get him into it I told him I’d build him a deck with big ass dragons. Tested it against blackwing yesterday and he went 6-0 in 3 matches it was actually wild. Amazing to see a deck profile on it the next day and to hear that you smashed the event! Never doubted you keeg! Appreciate all you do for the Edison community I’m a retro player from back in the day and the fact that it’s 2022 and I can play retro yugioh competitively today is amazing!

Yea, I think a lot of people need to realize that online Simulators can never replace the physical version. From the randomcality to bluffing & just overall how your deck runs can't be replicated 1 for 1 by an online simulator.

The DDWL is actually genius. Seems so obvious, but I think we all just filtered by dragons when building this deck just because of totem. It could still be a little dangerous because there's so much spot removal in the format, but it's not like you can't play if totems are dead. Only thing I would say is to pls use japanese sized sleeves with yugioh cards instead of standard sized ones. NM RP02 LADD soon to become LP if you shuffle it in standard sized.
The cards are double sleeved! Also yes the ddwl actually pretty rarely hits the grave thanks to 2 book 2 starlight. Even swinging it into ryko you can still banish both. It only really hits the grave in strange cases like skill drain or smashing ground or ancient gear beast.
No but if you want to see other side event winning decks, join the really big yugioh discord in the description. A lot of the other winners were posting their lists there as well
So there's probably a few reasons why OCG cardboard isn't allowed even at side events (these are obviously not officially stated and SOME are contradictaroy). 1, a TCG legal card has given the powers that be for the TCG Money. 2, not a TCG "text" or TCG region language card which, in Pokemon (from memory)there are certain rules regarding events only featuring "of region language" cards. tldr literally money Konami TCG has to step up their game for old format reprints, we've already seen they clearly do not want to reprint banned cards (Electrumite was in OCG Mama for example) and we've had SD's skipped over, Eva (Hyperion Structure), Destrudo (Dragunity Structure) Every fkn structure deck with Maxx "C" in it. At least substitoad being unviable with ronin gone should get it a reprint in the tcg.

there weren't 300 people in one event. it was flights where the prize was 5 tickets (selling for about 25-30usd each) and the ladd mat (selling for about 200-300usd).
They were on demand flights for the mat and tickets. A lot of the winning lists have been compiled in the discord. Zombies and lightsworn comprised most of the winning lists that I've seen so far.
Today began with this banger dragon deck and ended with some insane Blackwing/Zombie reprints. Fantastic day for Edison Enjoyers! PS: Konami gib Iron Chain Dragon a Holo print pls

I was genuinely shocked how popular Edison was at the YCS. On Saturday, I think 20 side events fired for Edison, and only 4 fired for goat
How do these side events work? Is it Swiss + top cut? How many rounds?

In my opinion, dragon turbo is a gimmick looking to high roll. This is an actual deck.
I don't know if I get it right, but you can't special summon a second red eyes while koaki dragon is on the field due his own eff
