- G'day Fishos, today I've challenged Rodney to help me find the perfect Flathead setup for under $200. This video is great if you're just starting out or want a new cheap setup for chasing those iconic Lizards. Rodney also shows us how to rig a soft plastic onto a Jighead in a quick and easy way.
If you're wanting this setup

Great video Mark, Rodney has such a great wealth of fishing knowledge for Flathead
I bought the abu Garcia 2-4kg 7ft rod when I first started lure fishing for flathead and I 've caught hundreds of flathead on it my biggest was 84cm use the 2.5 slim swimz or the grubz absolutely a great setup
Do you think I can use a 3-6kgs?
@@y0ungs1mba50 yeah man
@@y0ungs1mba50 definitely, as long as its got a nice sensitive tip and its graphite composite of some sort its good for flicking lures
Mate, Rodney is one of the best guys to give ya a hand at fishing. Such a good guy. Hes helped me out a shit ton over the last few years.
Love the vids but I would probably take the seana combo insted
Very good explanation for those kicking off on Lizards. Well done!
Hi Mark, What would be your go to recommendation for braid and leader line rating for Flathead on a 2-4kg rod, 2500 series reel? Thanks
Hi Mark Berg I'm a big fan of yours and keep on fis😢😢
❤ for fishing and camping and boating I do that wish
Awesome instructions but no mono to leader knot tying lessons lol
Good stuff mark
Great video im just getting back into fishing and im looking at trying lures for flattie
Roodney is so funny I'd love to meet him and go fish with him. I usaly fish the maroochy river since i was 3
Best thing to do is take some line and run it through the rod and or take your own reel to feel the rods (power) action.
So many people buy on looks and the BS.
Buy on quality brands and ensure to maintain whatever you buy and it'll last for years.
I have the Shimano combo it's rubbish
