that is a pretty plane!! That fan sounds really good with lots of thrust to boot!! Nice to see that FW started putting more into their fan design! Great flight guys!! The Gyro comes with it??? Man this is a good deal on this bird!! And that first flight the battery came down at almost 3.8v per cell!! That new fan is gooooooood!!
When I first saw Motion announce this plane I was like mehh but the more I see it and watch it fly it really is growing on me. It even sounds amazing! Im digging it now!

I'm in then. Also, F-86's probably more economical on power. The other Sabre that's looking interesting is the Banana Hobby AeroFoam Blue White MiG-17 90mm that you so eloquently flew in your video. This would sit nicely next from my Viper 90mm.
I also don't like the needle on the front. I think it's ugly. And if it hits the grass that's not good. Nice flying gentlemen. I got one for Christmas and can't wait to fly her this spring.
@@RCPlaneReviewer what are your thoughts between this bird and the Avanti S? I'm trying to dial in for my next bird. A great video may be a review of the two seeing as though people keep comparing them in the last few days
@@mizz9841 Man, The Avanti s is an awesome flyer, but this Cougar fly just as well and its...faster!!! and lands very forgiving! definitely go with the cougar especially with the gyro.

That’s one awesome plane, Thanks Jeff for asking Bobby what gyro it is. That’s amazing, looks locked in. Love this channel, no B.S sales pitch , and you guys even fly it as it comes out of the box without a bunch of high end mixing B.S And you both flew it with the ordinance on board. 😊.
Nice easy upgrade for all older FW 80s is to put this new fan in. Bet its similar to the FMS 2000kv unit. Looked like it was as agile and quick as the futura v3. Which is huge praise 👍🏾
Hey thanks for watching! I should have elaborated on the term gatoring but it's when the heat makes the foam expand and makes it look like the skin of an alligator..it's the pressed foam beads
I have similar issue on some of my canopies. If you leave it exposed to the direct sun light for several minutes, hemi-bubbles start to develop inside the canopy. Some folks where I fly like the look.@@RCPlaneReviewer
What's the aerobatic potential. These flights showed nothing. Knife edge, point rolls. How much forward stick to hold inverted etc. Everyone just wants to bank and yank
Rule#1 on maiden flights is none of that. A maiden flight is to see how the plane flies in a normal setting. We push the airplane in the 2nd-3rd video. And for speed trials. If you're looking for aerobatics ect on a maiden flight, we are not the channel for you, but thanks for watching.

Yesssir the gyro comes with it! It just makes a great flyer an even better flyer!

If you drill a small hole on the canopy, you won’t get the gator affect because the air inside the canopy will not get super heated.

but the futura is MUCH lighter than the cougar. so shouldn`t it be much better?
There's not that much in it. About 10% more weight. My Couger handled the larger lipos better than my futura did.

How is the suspension It does not look like the struts give much
They do a good just you want them firm but not spongy or it will bounce alot on landings. On hard landing they are great at absorbing shock
