Marvin Gaye singer-songwriter record producer I can even say bandleader he had a voice of his own that no one else have in the music business and I think that's what music from the 50 60s and 70s their voices were instruments and that's what made that music back in the day very special a lot of new Talent try to imitate your voice but none comes even close the legendary Marvin Gaye

He appeared a little more at ease than in the '65 Dick Clark interview. Good for him; and yes, he was being quite humble. Wonder what percentages Marv would assign to today ?

I really respect him as an artist, and I really love all of his songs and the way he performs. But after watching a gossip site give his story of his life. It is just horrifying. Obviously with gossip sites you don't know what's true and what's not and the gossip site makes it clear that they don't know if it's true or not but it was a horrible life that he led behind the closed doors.

      Marvin was tormented.

You're really going to judge him based off of what you heard on a gossip website? The one that claims that he was actually a serial killer in disguise? You actually believe that? Do you also believe tupac is still alive and living in Cuba?

    0:28 it's 20% talent and 80% luck.... today it's 5% talent and 95% luck

I agree with Marvin and disagree with Dick. Luck or fate plays a major part of becoming successful in the music industry. Regardless of how hard you work or even how talented you may be, if you aren't connected to certain people or get the right breaks, you'll go nowhere. For every Marvin Gaye there are literally about 5,000 hopefuls who didn't make it. Guys like Marvin were just lottery winners.

I'm a straight man, but Marvin Gaye makes me question my sexuality. Very handsome man.

It's not Marvin causing that thought. It's Satan causing it.
