My Wirehair training went very well. In six months I was following every command she gave me.

I've had many Dachshunds and they are hard to train, but I love them to pieces.
Physically can’t handle the cuteness and nobleness!!

Attempting to instill obedience in a dachshund is an exercise in futility.
Please support your dachsunds back and front with 2 hands when you pick them up
As they are so light in weight they can be picked up more easily than the larger Standards.Despite the cries of "dachshunds are stubborn" it shows you can train ANY dog.Love this!
And: Keep them Skinny!
@@avenger8399 The issue is they are prone to back issues so you should keep it stabilized
Imagine that, a doxie doing what WE want !! I love them. I have a mini wire/smooth doxie and I love her, but she is BOSSY !! Fun personality !
What breeder did you get her from?
They're very obedient dogs. They need an experienced handler that does not give in to them. Once they realize there is no work around, they are quick to respond and highly accurate.
They have SO much personality!!
@@uzzadazza she was found running in traffic. No one on her chip wanted her back so I "fostered" her to find a home. But, I was a "foster fail" and kept her. Glad I did !

They’re so bright, stubborn, and adorable! Mine would sit & wait for his blankie to be washed/dried every week, then take it, run, & throw it in the air while he dashed underneath.

The first dachshund looks very pregnant or possibly has puppies at home.
Doxxies are well known for training their owners
I thought my first Dachshund, Grover, to hunt Mongoose in Hawaii. He loved to work, they train easy in everything but potty training
I sat on the floor for the first month with my dogs (you can’t tell when they are squating) and my dogs are very well potty trained. It takes longer, but it can be done. Our Sheltie took 3 days.
My wire haired doesn’t do commands he does suggestions.
1:15 My great aunt always trained her dachshunds. They could do tricks and were (with one tragic exception) all very well behaved.
Mine is pretty easy to train so far. Let's see how he goes when he hits adolescence!!

She is a single mom, working lonnnnnnng hours to put her pups through obedience school!
My dacshound is in elite Rally obedience, and in class two in obedience i have competed 1 year only and i have about 20 ribbins in winning both Rally and obedience, he does many of the klass 3 and Even FCI obedience. i have No problen with making my dog do comands with a waging tail, and i do Never make him do thing he do not want to and i absolutlie do not ever pushes him down in any way physick or psykologi. Training only with toys , treat and lifting words. If my dog was afraid as some, i would never make any dog do anything or ask them of anything. You se the happy dogs want to work and they are happy and sucseesfull. some of them was funn some was chillingly bad to see. Hope the owners can change the way they Train and ask less of there dogs if they do not know how to propper Train a dog. Keep on going the right direction, working with the dog and not ageinst and demaning 🤩 Even a dacshen can be a star!

never under estimate the dachshund! Strong powerful long jaw, big teeth, strong prey drive, and capacity to destroy any toy given in less than 2 minutes. Obedience isn't really their thing.

These owners must have good pet insurance because these dogs can only take so much on their backs then a very expensive vets bill
Don't fix them; I have never see an issue in my dachshunds.
