I like the blind. However, I would not use the carpet squares for the floor. I was a facilities Director for a school district for 28 years. And, one thing I learned about carpet squares is that you do not want to use them anywhere there could be water. Like the floor of your blind in the winter. The tiles are rubber backed, and will mildew and stink when water gets under them.
Very nicely done! I use office chair from costco in my blind since i am in there hunting unwanted critters all night. I also use 1/4" poly carbonate smoke color so they can't see you.

No, first of all, the windows are on the north side of the building and we rarely have winds out of the north blowing south. Next it's no different than your car windows. There is a tight enough seal around the window that we haven't had any water stains on the inside window sills. Thanks for watching and commenting.

The field pods we're using are fully adjustable in all directions. After playing around with them for the past 2 years this direction seems to be the best fit for us. The gun or bow is always well balanced after dialing it in. We hunt with crossbows, rifles, and muzzleloaders and each one requires a little different adjustment. If you look closely the rear rest has a taller post which is crucial when hunting out of a raised blind. This allows us to move the back of the bow or gun higher up which is especially important when kids are shooting from a standing position. You'll also see there is an adjustment on the rails in the rear to pull the length back for longer guns. As you stated, if you make it longer you may also need to move the entire rail system forward to balance the gun correctly. Great comment. Thanks for watching
BOG FieldPod,. You can look them up on Amazon. There are several different styles and sizes. The tree stand version works great for bolting down inside of a blind with a single window. That style gets the legs of the tripod out of the way. Good luck.
No, just leaving it the natural wood color. With no windows in the sides or back it's blacked out just fine as is. We've tested it from many locations in the food plot. Thanks for watching and thanks for the question...
Outsidepride.com (clover king deer food plot seed) The deer, turkey's and Grouse love it and it will grow well in sand and gravel. If you've actually got quality soil I'm sure it will be great too.
Beautiful build. I’ve got a few questions though. I’m going to be building a new blind soon. What height are your windows at. And is your chair height adjustable. My windows will be 40” from the floor to the bottom of the windows.
We've had an issue on a couple of our blinds with the bottom of the window being too high to use a field pod. 40 inches is higher than I would go. 36 inches is a good universal height. Hope this helps
Yep, shouldn't be a problem. We've decided to wait and see what it looks like when it all shrinks up. It's dark behind it so it will likely look fine. We're prepared to run batten strips if needed. Thanks for the comment...
Porcupines are a problem ? I would pay for guills if you kill some and take the time to pull them out . If we are close enough you could skin them and freeze the hides then ship them next day delivery . I’ll pay you for them and pull the quills myself .

I can see a fold down table and a propane camp stove fitting in quite well and even a old coffee pot .lol
Nice blind but what's most awesome is you get the little ones involved I'm hoping someday I can get one of my granddaughters to hunt with me

Your gun rests are facing backwards. If you sit your rifle in the rest the way that you have them, they will not be supported correctly from tilting.
