I haven't tried to smell a bag of Hi-Chew before but I found it interesting how quickly Tommy recognized a fruit smell even though he was smelling the bag filled of still individually wrapped candies. I just tried smelling a similar bag of individual wrapped candies and couldn't smell a damn thing haha.
Well when one sense goes the others are a bit amped to compensate. You ever turned down the music when trying to find someones house or something like that while in a car? It seems like "why would I turn down music to help me see?" But it has basis in practice. Try it next time maybe. Close your eyes and actually focus on smelling something. Without the extra input from other senses the one you focus on is a bit more enhanced. In Tommy's case his whole life and ability to survive has been dependent on his scent, sound, and touch so hes developed those senses more
This is so cute. I fell in love with Christine on Masterchef. She has such a beautiful, bubbly personality. I almost always forget that she's blind until she actually has to look for something.
