I really don't use the 33609 often, but i do like it's qualities. when i want glue on drums, it's my go to... the thing is that i often opt for punch with drums over glue. For that my go to is the api 2500. that being said i'm not against getting a hardware version of it at some point. whether that's the audioscape, stamm audio or an actual neve version.
My only complaint would be the lack of LEDs to indicate when the limiter or compressor are active, or when the threshold hits on the knobs. I guess that's how the original equipment was. Great video!
Informative video as always. I would like to kindly ask if you could have a tutorial where you mix a whole hip hop track with the new Toneboosters V4 plugins. That would be awesome thank you in advance
Isn't that with most things in life? The same thing, just different variations. For example: You can get a burger at McDonalds, Five Guys, or restaurants. You can get coffee at Dunkin, Starbucks, or any restaurant. You can open bank accounts at Bank of America, TD Bank, Citi Bank, etc. You can always find similarities in everything in life. Lol.
@@bco0t6exactly why I left the box, literally this year. I’d rather use cheap gear than any of these emulation plugins. I’ve already done a/b test and all of my gear sounds better than my best plugins, every damn time.

Kiive Audio makes really good emulations. Glad they made the AudioScape emulation. Can't wait to try it out
Thank you so much for your review Mike !
Do you prefer the ARTURIA version of the 33609 over this KIIVE release ?

would be nice to have a setting eventually that will let us be able to have to all circuit versions
Mike you should do a review on the undertone audio unfairchild, best Fairchild emulation on the market by Eric Valentine and Kiive Audio
Hey mike. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the god particle plugin. Why does everyone seem to hate it when it sounds good?
Funny I just saw this on a warez site today and was wondering how it was.
How’s the CPU usage?
Very light .
Really wish they would've given like an 'extra slow' attack on the comp or something like 10ms at least
Another boring emulation copy.
Yep. And I think it made some things sound worse.
This is the market these days, those AI gimmicks and all in ones … welcome to mixing in the box in 2024

@@ProsodySound In recording technology I'm more into innovation at this point. We have enough emulations imo.
