As a film composer, this plugin is magic. I have to send a lot of client samples out withhout getting the chance to mix as much as I want to. The MBT takes about 1 minute to dial in a nice beefed up demo.

That hi-pass filter for the stereo imager is very cool! Thanks, Mike.

The Neve compressor is more like a aggressive limiter with hard knee that IMO better serves as a parallel comp or upward style compressor pushing up low level content. The Fusion side is the typical G-Bus style compressor.

The low end on the nieve is a miracle. So much weight and the signal only gains 1-2 db WOW.

🤩🤩 WOW! I am genuinely surprised by how good this piece of software sounds.
Thanks for doing such an in-depth analysis because I don’t think I would have been likely to give this one the time of day just based on the “cover of the book”.
The ONLY thing I think could have improved the experience of this plugin would have been the inclusion of “A,B,C,D” comparisons over the standard “A,B” as some developers do. But this is a SMALL complaint, obviously. We can of course make all the presets of our own that we want.

Very unique plugin that give the mix weight like hardware
Im doing my pre masters with the Access Analog....and then running that final mix through my Mackie 8 BUS and the WA GComp with an EQ, this guy on MBT mode with a Limiter...this guy is very very nice Final Polisher

    The Filter
    Neve 6 slope
Fusion 18 slope with Q up
I just matched it in Doctor Plugin
    Using TBTech Kirchhoff EQ

I'd say the Dark is based on the Blue saturation in the hardware Neve MBT

Can please you do a video for Acustica Audio Celestial and Snow. That is the same emulations but Snow is Rupert Neve Designs Portico II Master Buss Processor. Sounds rely great bout of them. You find Celestial in the Big Ceil bundle.

I have quite some plugins from KIive. They aren't bad but also not mind-blowing to me. To me they are a bit in the middle, pretty decent stuff. Thanks for the review. I thoughts were correct, I don't need this. It does a decent job to be honest but I prefer other plugins :) Thanks Mike!

Question - Am I seeing correctly that you’re running LCR track widths on your stem Aux’s on a stereo mix? Is there a video that explains why? I’m intrigued!

Oops not in the Plugin Alliance bundles? That's sad, so I have to try this one, to get a better knowledge of this plugin.

When would a really cool plug-in that really gives you a lot of value with lots of processors and lots of work ever be on plug-in Alliance??

THE MBT EMULATION IS REALLY GOOD. THE FUSION IS NOTHING LIKE THE HARDWARE

Unfortunately for you this plug-in is actually better than the SSL Hardware

I have been able to closely match mine to my Fusion hardware. But I did add the SSL Transformer plugin after the NFuse. Very close but still missing a little something.

How do they get away with stealing the Rupert Neve interface design color the whole 9 yards how are they not sued for stealing Rupert Neve hardware design?

  • @ramspencer5492
    @ramspencer5492 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

Hmm.... It's good.... But I feel like that hardware itch might Not be scratched without getting something like Even a simple art pro vla ii.... Assuming you have decent conversion.... There's something about actually putting everything through transformers and resistors and such..... You don't even have to compress to speak of... But it just gives it a certain 3D depth. A lot of these recent plugins are really nailing saturation and curves... Even most of the compression behavior... But there's this aliveness... This depth that comes from actually summing and hardware. It's subtle but I feel it.

From what I understand, in the plugin at least, the compressor is an Optical compressor on the N side. Not sure if it's that way in the hardware tho.

I have the Fusion hardware and this emulation is somewhat off. It lacks the warmth and the vintage drive is way different, less warmer too. Violet EQ sounds harsher and the lack of the frequency compressor, which is Fusion's best feature, is a complete miss. Not impressed at all.

    • @drefue

This insistence that plugs must sound exactly like the hardware, or they’re garbage, is beyond absurd. They are to be taken for what they are: a tool to provide the essence of the original; unique in its own right. If this was a generic plug, with no association to any hardware, most would agree it sounds good. To insist it must be an exact replica of the hardware is to miss the point entirely.

This is the neve Mbp not MBT. I've been meaning to check this out as I use both of these for mastering using access analog. I'll need to try it for myself and compare but it sounds good here.

This whole SSL/Neve hype thing is complete Bullsh1t. Complete and utter. If you need a solid reliable channel strip take TBT Cenozoix and Kichhoff EQ and forget about the rest. Analog emulation is the worst choice you can make to begin with. What a crap show! :-((

so you never ever run a sound or a mix through tape or something? I remember when i started out mixing, i wanted everything i used to be as pristine and clean as possible. Did i come back from that in a big way hehe
