    You can pick Mickey Wright out EVERY time. The most beautiful, impeccable swing ever.

    The golf swing is all about impact….doesn’t matter how you get there, just find a way to get there….Trevino once said the most important thing about the golf swing is the six inches before impact and the six inches after…..perfect

    • @ElizabethGentile360
      @ElizabethGentile360  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would reply here that we are all prisoners of the ball flight laws which cannot be disputed. The challenge is finding a swing or a notion of the swing which will get you to the right place at impact on a consistent basis. The before and after tell a story of their own so I would not think them insignificant. So, I agree with Lee Trevino but the examples above really tell a story that is about that and more. Thanks for your comment Chris!

    Man those women had powerful swings! I see that lead foot lift as a timing mechanism. I’m going to incorporate that with a Fred Couples swing.

    The forward press then a smooth transition into the backswing, allowing the left heel to rise for full pivot turn, the tiniest hint of a pause, then bang down the left heel and the job is done. Beautiful.

    I'm also fascinated by the old school golf swing so this video is perfect for me.

    Patty Berg held the title of most beautiful swing in my mind. I always thought she was the female version of Sam Snead and then I came to find out that he had coached her at one point. It all makes sense.

    The incomparable Mary Kathryn "Mickey" Wright beginning at 50 seconds. She was the greatest woman player of all time and it's not close. In addition she ranks with the greatest men in golf history. She is the only woman to win the two oldest and most prestigious woman's championships (US Woman's Open & the LPGA Championship) as many as 4 times each. She won 10 or more tour evants in 4 consecutive years including the all-time single year record of 13 in 1963. All other women have won 10+ 5 times combined. She is the only one to own all 4 modern major women's titles at the same time in 1962. She is the only woman to win at least one major in 7 consecutive years (1958-64). Ben Hogan called her swing the best he had ever seen.

      I posted this 5 months ago. I'm happy to report that there's a positive awareness of how productive this simple move is and how restrictive the flat foot start is for most golfers.

      Thomas Conway I am always amazed when students ask me how their feet are, if they are on the ground during their backswing, even when we are working on something else and never even have visited that topic. Someone, somewhere is telling them they must not move their left heel from the ground..... I of course immediately point to Nicklaus, Wright, just to name a couple of the Great Players who do this and always had enormous success.

      Is that Mickey Wright at 1:02? That one swing looks different. 1:05 - 1:51 more awesome stuff Maybe 1:02 is a very young Mickey Wright before the swing became the first or second GOAT.

      Mr. Hogan said she had the best golf swing he ever saw, bar none. She joined Shady Oaks CC IN Fort Worth so she could watch him practice, but more importantly he watched her practice ( something he didn’t do)

    Were these women "shut" on the takeaway, as Brandel Chamblee has identified in the best golf swings of all time? It's hard for me to tell. Love the footwork.

    • @ElizabethGentile360
      @ElizabethGentile360  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have to admit I have never heard that before, the club face being closed in the takeaway in the "best" golf swings. Who is Brandel talking about I wonder.... Nancy Lopez maybe. You cannot see it here because of the angle and blur. The club face position at the top is square for most of these players and at impact which, as we know, is the most important position in the golf swing. These players did have great footwork, tempo and rhythm for the most part. Fun to watch! Thanks for your comment Mark.

It is a good exclusive guide for revealing an effortless golf swing technique minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend after many years got great success with it.
