Jennifer is such a natural, and Derek literally looks like he's gliding. They were perfectly matched. Love how he is always strategically supporting her fragile neck and makes it look effortless.
My jaw dropped a number of times. The perfect coordination and execution of their moves looked natural rather than rehearsed. I agreed with Bruno when he said, "I wish I had an 11!"
So happy Jennifer & Derek won, and a lovely thought not to dance to Time Of My Life, as Jennifer said that was for her & Patrick & she wanted something different for her & Derek. It was a lovely tribute to a wonderful man & actor, RIP Patrick you are missed.
Still my favorite movie of all time. I've watched it over 300 times, wearing out two VH tapes, and then loving DVD's that don't wear out!! She was spectacular dancing on "Dancing With the Stars", especially after having been in such a bad accident and having metal parts put in her upper back during surgery. She had to get her surgeon's approval to be on the program. It's like she never forgot what Patrick taught her and took it one step further with Derek. Wow!!!

Geez! I got all teary-eyed when it showed Patrick and Jennifer dancing at the very end! May Patrick's legend live on in those that were an admirer of him and also of this movie. I'm 63 years old, and I've watched many movies and this is still my very favorite! I used to also have both cassette tapes of the movies soundtracks, but played them so much that I wore them out! 💜💚😂
My husband and I watched this show so often that when we went to a convention we did it we actually pulled off a dance like Patrick and Jennifer. Many photos were taken and I was stunned at how well we did. Once in a life time for me as I loved dancing from a little kid. And glad I did what I could as now I can barely walk. Bless my children as every dance we all went to they made sure Walk of Life was played out favourite jive tune.
They're both magnificient, especially her. They absolutely deserve all the tens, except that Jennifer deserved elevens for those dresses, that physique and those moves.
wow Jennifer Grey is in excellent physical condition ! and is an excellent dancer and athlete ! This is 20 years after dancing with Patrick...Dancing is just as hard as being in the Olympics and at 57 years old showing so much physical strength... That's amazing !
She had two (one she wanted that was botched, and a second one to fix the first). I imagine she did it like most actresses, feeling like maybe they were being turned down for roles because of a flaw. It happens all the time. Mainly with teeth, everybody gets veneers. But the irony is that exact thing happened because of the nosejob. Not being hired because you don't look recognizable anymore (in an era where it was about marketable "teen stars" even if they were not even teenagers). At the end of the day, either way she's not ugly. She just looks like everybody else now. Which I guess is what people want.

I've just now watched the clips of Jennifer dancing on DWTS.I know Patrick had a smile on his face from Heaven! Patrick Swayze made Texas proud&we will forever love&miss him!He was such a kind&loving person!I was blessed to know him&his family!Wonderful people!!
Sure...the routine was perfection. After all she was dancing with my favorite procision dancer on the show....but the sexualality of the pair's relationship was missing with Derrick....hence the meaning was lost.
This video is the best I have seen. These two are awesome together. She and Patrick were awesome together in the movie of Dirty dancing. I think Patrick would be very proud of her for taking her dancing to this level and for keeping it a part of her life. She and Derek are really great together. This guy is really strong and very confident by jumping over Jennifer in the dance towards end of video. Glad they won!! ***** in another video about chronic pain she said she hadn't danced in yrs not even at weddings. DWTS was hard but she does all kinds of stuff for pain & took it each step at a time lol. Shes had several surgeries on her neck after a seat belt injury in an accident

Gregory Wilson jen gray is the daughter of Joel. Joel Grey was way before ya'll contemplatives time. Still one of the greatest "Broadway" dancers, singers,actors etc, etc, ever.
DAMN! I never knew she could dance like that in real life, I mean I know she trained for dirty dancing ,but at her age you wouldn't think she could keep up with her much younger partner. also, she still looks amazing, and has a good figure for her age.
She spent most of her life walking around basically with a broken back. Had to happen to her after she did dirty dancing. And she was just an unfortunate passenger. I think the other people were unfortunately killed. She suffered a great deal of pain. I know she was in pain at times during the show, apologizing to Derek for being so old. I was so happy she did so great.

***** sis had two things done.... so stop it.... She didn't even know how bad her back was till this show after the accident she almost died 2 weeks before DD opened... and the surgeries help fix issues from a bad car accident that killed two and left someone in the hospital
Me too. You know why? Because when they were practicing that lift at one point he told her that she was going to hurt him unless she trusted him. Then when they did the first initial dance where she was to do the lift, she didn't because she didn't trust him. In the end her doing the lift showed that she had given herself up to him completely and was trusting that he wouldn't drop or hurt her.
I used to dance like this...Believe it or not ! (Just ask my partner...He'll tell you ! ) We had A LOT of fun every Saturday night...for years and years and years !
She's a fabulous dance, I wish she would do it more often. As a matter of fact I would like to see her more often. Btw, she is in ridiculously good shape for any age !

This is put together so beautifully! As DWTS will be starting on Monday, I just had to come back and watch Jennifer & Derek performances. I'm really gonna miss seeing them dance. The season will not be the same without Derek. Wouldn't it be nice if they danced on one of the result shows. Wishing Derek the best on his new movie. They were so AMAZING together, the age difference didn't matter. She was sheer elegance coupled with Derek charisma and brilliant choreography, a dream team indeed.
Honestly got a little teary eyed during that free style dance. Just seeing so many of the same moves from the movie being brought back really tugged at my heart strings. They're both fantastic dancers!

I am glad I watched this, I dance when I'm on my own, its a way of releasing myself from any stresses. I wish I had done it for a career. I am glad Jennifer has found her confidence to dance again, she dances amazingly.

Wow, i would die to dance only one time with Jennifer...i remember the time the movie was played, it runs 21 days in our cinema and i had been there every single day, after the 15th visit the owner of the cinema has let me seen the film without paying...4 months after the movie i've made a dancing lesson and we learned the final dance, too. my girl friend and and i trained the lift figure in our lokal swimming bath and a little later we showed the dance in a ball of my shooting club, my first public appearance.... had been amazing and we showed the lift figure....😍😄
I saw Dirty Dancing the first wk it was out in NYC. Everybody was sorta dancing outta the theatre when it was over. The music was as great as the dancing. It's one my favorite movies ever. It's a great memory. I had the time of my life!

I was so blessed to meet and spend time with Patrick Swayze and his lovely wife. He had a wicked quick sense of humor and had some very funny jokes. I was, and remain a huge fan of his talent and feel Dirty Dancing has some of the best dance scenes ever!

Im glad she chose to not do the Time of my Life dance on this show, bc she is right, that dance was just meant for her and Patrick. She looks amazing for her age. She is even fitter and sexier than when she made that movie. And her costumes are gorgeous.

She spent most of her life walking around basically with a broken back. Had to happen to her after she did dirty dancing. And she was just an unfortunate passenger. I think the other people were unfortunately killed. She suffered a great deal of pain. I know she was in pain at times during the show, apologizing to Derek for being so old. I was so happy she did so great.

Jennifer was in top form and looked fantastic for as many years as it had been. She danced exceptionally well and deserved all those "tens."

Every time I see the final scene of this movie, it makes me cry. I'm a 54 year old man...what is wrong with me?
Me too. You know why? Because when they were practicing that lift at one point he told her that she was going to hurt him unless she trusted him. Then when they did the first initial dance where she was to do the lift, she didn't because she didn't trust him. In the end her doing the lift showed that she had given herself up to him completely and was trusting that he wouldn't drop or hurt her.

This is put together so beautifully! As DWTS will be starting on Monday, I just had to come back and watch Jennifer & Derek performances. I'm really gonna miss seeing them dance. The season will not be the same without Derek. Wouldn't it be nice if they danced on one of the result shows. Wishing Derek the best on his new movie. They were so AMAZING together, the age difference didn't matter. She was sheer elegance coupled with Derek charisma and brilliant choreography, a dream team indeed.

I am glad I watched this, I dance when I'm on my own, its a way of releasing myself from any stresses. I wish I had done it for a career. I am glad Jennifer has found her confidence to dance again, she dances amazingly.

My husband passed away 6 years ago but I pretend I am still dancing with him - we both loved to dance! I think Jennifer looks amazing and is just such a GOOD dancer! Don't laugh, but top of my "bucket list" is to dance with Derek Hough on The Ellen Show! Yeah, I know it's just a dream, it will never happen but a girl can dream, right?

What a perfect matchup. DH is a phenomenal dancer & teacher. Absolutely love these two together and to the person that said "does anyone get tired of watching the end scene of dirty dancing?" I say one of the most Iconic performances of all time and I can watch it a million times over & over.
I never ever get tired of watching these two together. Dirty Dancing will always be my favorite forever. Patrick Swayze is greatly missed

Wow, i would die to dance only one time with Jennifer...i remember the time the movie was played, it runs 21 days in our cinema and i had been there every single day, after the 15th visit the owner of the cinema has let me seen the film without paying...4 months after the movie i've made a dancing lesson and we learned the final dance, too. my girl friend and and i trained the lift figure in our lokal swimming bath and a little later we showed the dance in a ball of my shooting club, my first public appearance.... had been amazing and we showed the lift figure....😍😄

I saw Dirty Dancing the first wk it was out in NYC. Everybody was sorta dancing outta the theatre when it was over. The music was as great as the dancing. It's one my favorite movies ever. It's a great memory. I had the time of my life!

@@MikeWilsonBarrett Patrick didn't teach her to dance, she was already a fantastic dancer before she was in dirty dancing and had taken dance lessons all her life, just watch her screen test for Dirty Dancing and you can see she was a natural dancer.

I was so blessed to meet and spend time with Patrick Swayze and his lovely wife. He had a wicked quick sense of humor and had some very funny jokes. I was, and remain a huge fan of his talent and feel Dirty Dancing has some of the best dance scenes ever!
Jennifer is just as beautiful today as she was back then. She has shown she can dance! Im glad she chose to not do the Time of my Life dance on this show, bc she is right, that dance was just meant for her and Patrick. Nobody could ever do it any better or with as much chemistry as Jennifer and Patrick did. Thank you for sharing this video bc I totally missed her being on the show.
