I just came across these!! So lovely n very easy!! No buttons, rings!! I have tons of towels from the dollar stores I’d bought to make S gift sets w/pot holders n scribbies n wash cloths! So now I’ll add these to them. Great video!! Thanks!
I'm glad I found your tutorial! I just finished a more complicated one with a hidden ring for the towel and requiring a button. It looks very nice, but I'm trying to make a number of towel holders for my daughter, and I think these would suit her just fine. She wants them for her bathrooms as she has three young kids who pull the towel off the rod whenever they dry their hands. These would be easy to store also. Thank you so much. Will try this in the morning!
My gramma taught me to make these. I just loop it over the cupboard handle and threatbthe towel through both loops. Or just thread the towel through the door handle 😉
Yay! I've made two of these so far. They're not perfect, but they get the job done... and they're not that hard to do. I think with practice, I might do even better. Thanks so much for this tutorial! It's a mighty good feeling to complete a project. Thanks, Janet.
Wow! I've watched several tutorials on making a towel holder and most require a ring or an elastic. Then I found a tutorial that only requires a button. I was going to go with that tutorial until I saw your tutorial. I really like the simplicity, as well as the pattern design. Also, I can see quite easily how you do the stitches, which is a plus since I'm a newbie at crocheting. So, thanks for the great tutorial. I plan to start making one today. 😊
I made one in mint green...so easy😊I love it....you were so awesome on the instructions, which made it easy to follow,I will be checking more of your crochet projects out in the future!!!!
I'm going to try making this, but I wish you had shown in the video how it would look when actually in use. Where do you insert the towel? Do you just tuck it in the open loop? Is the loop large and strong enough for a terry cloth hand towel? EDIT: I just finished making one, so I understand it better now. But I still wonder if the loop design is strong enough for terry cloth. Should I consider making a larger loop?
Yay! You figured it out! I'm so sorry, I should have shown how it it used with a towel. You can make the loop larger if you wish. Depending on yarn used, it will probably stretch a little over time. Happy Crocheting to you!
If I can remember correctly, the cotton blue is Lily Sugar n' Cream in Light blue, & the acrylic blue is Red Heart Super Saver in Turquoise. The color names of the white & the brown yarn, I don't remember.
Thank you so much for such a cute beginner friendly project that works up super quickly !
How cute. And you don’t even need a button. How cool. Love it
