I've had one of these for about 12 years. Half the features don't work anymore from extreme use and abuse - but I still love it and have improved my playing vastly - recorded all kinds of music with. The piano sound is really good and the ease of playing combinations of sounds with rythms is great. I especially like the four progressions of each drum style that allow you to create accents while playing full throttle. Now fshopping for another keyboard as it's only a matter of time before this one dies. I've already resottered the electrical input twice - about eight keys are dead - but man have I played this thing hard! Great Keys!

@@eisenkopf69 It was a high grade keyboard in its time and still sounds pretty good, and has good features such as the vocal harmonizer. For $100 is a steal ;)

PSR 740 uses DSP/CPU from EX-5R, EX-7, Motif 6/7/8 models. psr-640 It's a completely different series, only it looks similar. Yamaha psr640 is PSR-280,DGX-300, psr1100 in a different edition. DSP/CPU psr640 is an home educational series .
