  • It's been a while since we've really talked about our Robotron. Our last video on the subject was 8 months ago, when we showed we had it working... but with a JROK instead of an actual PCB. While the JROK can perfectly recreate the gameplay of Robotron, being an FPGA, it just wasn't original enough for us.
So. Here we are, finally! We've got an original boardset, an original power supply, and a shiny new wiring harness. Let's go ahead and turn Robotron back into what it was meant to be!
Warning... This video is really long.

awesome video restoring this old machine. Out of curiosity where were you googling all the time. my brother has had a Robotron that I gave him years ago and I am having a hell of a time trying to fix it after his kid kicked it.

Lots of great information here for old games like Robotron. Best resource around. Sorry to hear about that robotron though. Check the connectors if it died after a kick. The original Williams connectors on the PCBs were terrible, and may need to be cleaned or replaced.
