- It's happening!
The UK's very first studio podcast for trials. Introducing the presenters and hot topics alongside our already incredible content here on the world's biggest trials TH-cam channel.
This is once again the brainchild of lead presenter Danny Butler and takes an honest look at the trials industry as it is in 2024. No topic is off the table and this is an authentic trial conversation. Taking the experienced opinions of some of the UK's most influential riders. To have an honest conversation is a beautiful thing. We just like to do it about trials.
This is Trialtube!

I'm a bit late to the show this week guys.... Getting ready for a large group at our village base (now aircon'd!) thanks for the kind words about Trials Bulgaria Moto Holidays....& my cooking... Mitchell Inn star maybe.....😆...Let me know when the TrialTube podcast team want to ride in the Wild East!
(No podcast on Spotify? Hasn't shown up for me anyway!)
Oh weird I will be investigating pronto
Thanks for the kind words on my bike lads! I'll let you know when it's all done...
Great show, as always! 👍
Mega!!!
Great bike 😊
Nice bike James and good to be different from all the Ty’s etc.. I’d be very interested to know a little more about what you’ve done to the forks?
I have a rare Alfer with USD forks, if I’m ever brave enough to compete on it, I’d love to get the suspension working better.
@@stevebird4079Hi Steve, well first up was to get the basics right, so new bushings, new seals and polish the stanchions, along with a good oil in there. I made a slight modification to the oil seal housing to accept SKF low friction seals, which are a little deeper than standard. Then I modified a damper out of a Paioli fork (scrap fork from a rev3) to fit in the right hand leg. This was also revalved to suit the bike and me. I also fitted a Tech progressive spring to the left hand leg, which required a bit of modifying of the top out spring perch and a change of top out spring to make it work.
I may go even further with it by going to DLC coating on the stanchions. I'd also like to remove some weight by CNCing some clamps and dropouts. We'll see.
For now though, it works pretty good.
@@jameswilliams7477 Thanks for the info, interesting to read about fitting the SKF seals as I’ve often wondered about using these on my TY. The last seals I bought were All Balls who claim 30% less friction, I planned to do a crude test to see if there’s any noticeable difference! Thanks again for sharing the info.
Another great podcast, always look forward to them. Now in the process of rounding up some friends to book on at trials Bulgaria!
Mega place!!!
Love the podcast guys, well done. I’m admiring the Montesa, I remember Robert Crawford one of these in 1990 whilst they were developing the water cooled bike. I think Marc Colomer rode the pre production model in 1990 or 91?. The switch to Beta must have been 1993, in the Gara colours. The Techno was launched 94.
Thanks Steve!!
Glad you are enjoying the chats 👍🏻
Cheers Danny, Stu and Sandy! Fantastic job as always!
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed 😊
Thanks for another great show. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
You’re welcome 😊
You’re right unfortunately, but I don’t think it’s limited to the S3, it’s trials as a whole. It’s never the clubman that are dragging the bike through sections that need a bit of leniency that get it. It’s always the top boys /girls whose face fits. Even watched a particular expert being given another go at a section when he 5’d it. Called it a Muligan like in golf. I asked if I could have another attempt if I screwed it up and got told no 😂 when I observe I always go softer on the lads and lasses fighting for a 3.
There it is! It’s the truth
Hey - great stuff. ❤ from Iceland
Wow incredible! Thanks for watching
Greeting from Vancouver Island. Another good show gents
Hey Vancouver!!!
Niiiiiice 😊
Another great listen! The S3 rounds are way beyond me but Mike is entered on the next two rounds. He did the Jack Ellis last year and didnt get a single clean so plenty of room for improvement! 😂😂
Like how the kick start on the 90s Mont is probably the same design as the 348 from the 70s. Swivel at the top.
It’s industrial!!
@TrialTube never fail, that's for sure!
Built right
You need a brew and a plate of hob nobs on this show. 😂 good work blokes
Love the show lads getting me very keen to get back into trials. Now what bike to get? But as an ex Sherco rider I am tempted to go with the new fuel injected model.
Please keep up the reviews.
Thanks boys.😊
Reviews are in route!!
Been like it forever, I smashed a section up in frustration after being given a 5 for completely nothing, then got acu on me back....😂
Class!!!
What a hooligan!! Hope you’re keeping well Ian?
@stevebird4079 yo Steve, yes all good dude,
Been road biking for a bit now, got into it big style after the convid crap!
Just grabbed myself a scorpa sy250, wanted a bike that was nice and rideable and reliable.
But haven't had time to ride it.
Knocked work on head couple of years ago, since then to busy!!
Moved near seaside as well!
How you doing?
Trialing much?
😂😂😂😂😂
@@ianmargetts9163Glad to hear you’re doing ok, similar story with me really, except I’m playing golf. Still got a load of bikes and had a wee practice session a couple of weeks ago to see if I can still do it!
Danny you said: Mick Andrews was one of the people who taught you to ride. That's so cool!

A stunning looking bike, Montesa's have always been good looking bikes imho
Ain’t she a mega piece of kit!
It makes me feel like a right old fart, takes me back to being 21 again, the bike looks a shit load better than I do 🤨!
@@johnhassall1782 I am sure there is some energy left in ya!
