    Great video! You know, you can really shorten that vent hose. It comes super long to accommodate all spaces, but you can cut much of the excess off to eliminate the extra hosing. Your dryer will actually work more efficiently with a shorter hose! If it's getting bent, it's too long.

    • @reallifewithali
      @reallifewithali  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Thanks! I could probably cut it shorter (I didn’t think of that at the time), but it needs to be long enough to pull out the dryer to get behind. I’ll have to see what I can cut off.

      @@reallifewithalipull the washer out and you can get the connections made on the dryer with it only pulled out about a foot from the wall. Make it shorter too!

      @@reallifewithali Get a periscope... there's a youtube channel called al metal dryervent... he vlogs his daily dryer vent cleaning service videos... and he shows the backs of ppl's dryers and often they are kinked and lots of times he fixes them with what is called a periscope... it's like a square metal box that connects to the wall and can move to accomodate where the back end of the dryer goes in and then just push the dryer directly into that up against the wall... it looks so much better... You did so much great cleaning here... but seeing you push that long hose back probably kinking it is likely blocking airflow..

    Loop a cord round the hose so you can lift and rearrange it’s position whilst pushing the dryer back into position - it could then loop along the back of the dryer without getting so bent or dented it gets squashed blocks the flow diameter. I agree you could shorten the hose, but only so far if you need the length to pull the machine out

    I agree it would have been good to add a bag or something else before attaching the leaf blower. But Ali it looked SO funny. At least now you have the footage of how NOT to do next time. And next time you get footage of how to do it right. I just wonder what to use? A plastic bag wouldn't be good. And how to fasten it at the vent?
